Something bad wrong with this place. NO INTEGRITY. I found a 2018 Ford F150 that was being sold as a certified pre-owned vehicle. I drove 35 minutes to the dealer with my family to test drive it and buy the truck. I liked it and was ready to buy it but we found that the latch on the tailgate was not working properly. The salesman asked me to write a deposit $ check to hold the truck while they fixed it and I'd pick it up in a couple of days. Well a couple days went by, no update, no communication. I kept calling to get a status for over a week. Finally they say "That's going to cost us $800 we're going to send the truck to auction". No words like ... "I"m so sorry about this" or anything respectful or conciliatory of my wasted time... Also who does this? We had a deal, I wrote a check, I spent my time... then they just send the truck to auction over a broken latch? Then it took many weeks after and numerous calls and complaints to FINALLY get my refunded check. If I hadn't bugged them probably would have never happened. NOT ONCE did a single person say "I'm sorry" or show any empathy or concern. AVOID THIS PLACE, no integrity, no concern for customers' time, money, or emotional hassle. All in I spent over a month wasting precious energy and they delayed my truck purchase on a vehicle I needed. Never again! Thanks for nothing Tunkhannock Ford!
I see your response Kevin. I see you guys get very concerned when there is a bad review, but couldn't care less when my time, life, or money was being held hostage by your organization. I've wasted so much time already - I won't be calling to discuss matters you pretend to care about here on this google review. Start by being courteous, respectful, and honoring your word and you won't have to end up here on a...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with Tunkhannock Ford. When I purchased my vehicle, I was assured that a scratch that occurred during shipping would be taken care of. I called in December and was told to bring the vehicle in for an estimate. When I brought it in the estimate, the body shop said it couldn't do the work until January but unfortunately that wouldn't work for me as I was going to be out of state for two months. They told me that there is a 30 day window to get the damage fixed but they would waive that for me so that I could bring it back when I returned. When I went back they said that they would no longer cover the damage and that it had been too long since I purchased the vehicle. I would have liked to have taken care of this sooner but with my schedule there were few, if any, opportunities to get it taken care of and I was under the impression that the 30 day window no longer applied. Unfortunately, I never got the agreement to waive the 30 day window in writing and now they won't cover the repair that they had already agreed to and instead, pointed to the 30 day window as the reason. I contacted the dealership multiple times regarding this issue and not only would they not cover it as they previously agreed, they wouldn't even offer me an alternative form of compensation. I wouldn't recommend buying from them unless you are able to get every promise clearly spelled out in writing. I will be taking my truck to Coccia Ford for maintenance instead, as they have always treated me fairly...
Read moreWe were interested in purchasing a truck and, because of our location a couple of hours away, had been going back and forth with the salesman, Colton, on details. My husband spoke with him again today and was told there was a lot of sudden interest in the truck and was asked if he would like to put money down to hold it. He said yes and asked how much was needed to hold it * Here’s the key to our experience. Colton told him that he wanted to look at the financing numbers and would let him know a figure for holding. We waited. One hour passes. Two hours pass. We are still waiting to hear how much we need to put down to hold the truck. We had the money ready. After 2 hours my husband finally calls because we haven’t heard anything. Colton then explains that he sold the truck. So, while we were waiting on him for a figure to hold it, thinking he was running the numbers for us, he was actually busy selling it right out from under us. It would be a different story if he was waiting on us and had someone come in with an offer, we understand in that situation you make the sale BUT we were waiting on him. Completely disrespectful, shameful sales tactic, and not someone we would want to do business with. This is not how fair salesmen work. Only those concerned with getting their cut. We would not recommend putting your trust...
