Dollar General — Local services in Eaton

I went here anticipating on saving alot of money that day! I heard on some ap that they had items for next to a penny and me being on disability , with 6 grandkids I needed to save some money. I even downloaded this ap on line that said if I scanned my items first, I could find ones next to nothing so I did! I scanned some quilts and they all scanned out for like 10 cents or 1 cent or a dollar so I filled up a whole cart! I scanned a whole basket of toys too then clothes! I hit yhe jackpot! Then this friendly male manager came and asked if I needed help and I said no and explained to him how excited I was to get all of this for so cheap. ! Then he kindly and very gently explained to me that I was informed wrong. He was so nice that he scanned all my stuff and I was so thankful for him because I didn't I didn't go up to the register looking like a fool so I ended up purchasing $180 worth of things that day! I was there for 5 hours putting things back and deciding what...

Elderly purple haired lady and friend standing at entrance eating A&W are EXACTLY why I don’t shop here on the norm. I do not know her, yet she thinks she knows me and mentioned some BS about not giving her dirty looks. Complete cesspool of a store. You’d think you’re shopping at a store in banjo county Alabama.

Also, these two woman are obstructing aisles and they’re too overweight to move for customers. One lady was blocking hand baskets, customer couldn’t find them to shop. The same overweight lady was then moving baskets all over, giving the only employee working the register, more work to do when she was already dealing with customers. I will HAPPILY drive out of my way to never shop at this store again.

Management should be ashamed but they’re clearly the problem. Never shopping here again and warning...

we were in the store today and again had a bad experience with the staff, they are by far the worst people to deal with. i would rather pay 100% more for any item they sell than to go in and deal with the worst ever customer service ever. if you cant perform your customer service at the highest lever then don't do it at all. I would hope that a Store Manager would care enough about the poor service and turn things around in a small town. it is very unfortunate that people can be so disrespectful, I am sorry that I am giving your store a one star because the system would not let me...
