This ACE Hardware has been pretty decent in the almost 5 years I’ve been living here. However, last night I purchased a $100 DeWalt drill with my fiancé. I had left a message that there was no drill when we got home and my fiancé went in and told them the same thing , that it was simply a battery and charger. When he got in there the man who sold it to us, straight up lied to his manager and said that he opened the drill. Looked in the bag. And that the drill was there. The woman who helped him last night, said the same thing, that they checked the box and the drill was there. A manager ended up fixing everything, however this was extremely frustrating. Check your products before you leave! It’s NOT worth the hassle. The manager, I would give 5 stars. However, I am highly disappointed in the two employees stating they “checked the box”. I’m hoping no one is in a lot of trouble, but I do hope they get some better training on how to treat customers! Hats off to the manager for checking the video as quickly as she could. (About 30 mins to 1 hour) I just don’t agree with lying employees. Will definitely be checking all products before I leave the store...
Read moreWe have been in the store a few times... This time I stopped by to chexk on a Treager grill and then into the gun store area. First thing was nobody was in there, the guy at the desk beside the room was very nice. He radioed for a person to that area, a few minutes later a guy shows up and explained to him that I was looking for an EZ pistol for my wife he showed me 1 he had in the counter asked if there were any others he said yes but would have to look for them. I also asked if he had any used at all he then said no. No worries.. I mentioned that I was at Cabella's and things went down hill from there. I started to talk about what they told me about purchasing a gun he then rolled his eyes at me and explained it was wrong. Ok... Im NOT a gun expert by any stretch but without a longer speach here, In my opinion I think the guy needs to work on more customer service skill's. You guys did lose my business as far as Im concerned. Loss of sale for a Treager and a pistol.... Around...
Read moreBought a DR Push Trimmer in 2020. Was time to replace trimmer belt. Called, person on phone told me they carried belts, just bring it in to match up. When I arrived, after walking around five minutes with no acknowledgement from anyone, I asked for help. Clerk told me where to go, didn’t offer to show me. Couldn’t find belt, went back to clerk for help. He offered to find person who works in that dept. She said they don’t carry belts. Didn’t offer a solution. The first clerk did suggest Napa auto parts. At this point, since I had spent over $400 on this trimmer I would’ve loved if he offered to call Napa and check. I guess this Ace is becoming like the big box stores…no customer service. Lesson: buy your lawn equipment from a dealer that actually services...
