Do not go here!! For years we have been to the fair, however this year we decided to go up on a rainy day. We knew it was going to rain however not only did they cancel the monster truck show, the literally shut everything down at 7 pm! So getting there at 5:30 and spending most of the time trying to dodge the rain. We were never notified of the closing of all the vendors and games as well so we literally paid to stand in a barn!! No food no games! And we were very understanding of the rides closing and even the monster truck show. However when my father in law( a veteran) asked for a refund the fair board president said no refunds. When my father in law simply said well you charged us for nothing the fair board president started screaming that we paid for the carnival. Then my father in law calmly said well no we didn’t get any of that because you closed everything down without telling everyone. The fair board president continued screaming and called for security. So my husband, Baby, and my father in law were followed by security to go get our blanket we had laid down in the grandstands and also were waiting for me and my three other upset children trying to get a snack which we couldn’t get what they wanted. So when they were waiting there security told them to get off the property, and they simply said we are waiting for our family. But all of this screaming being chased around by security guards happened right in front of my baby!! Then when I spoke over the phone with my husband and told him I would be there in a second he told me they called the police! The police officer was rude and told them they had to leave and when they said we were and asked why he was called he said because they were causing a disturbance. When we met up we left as peaceful as when we went in as well as when they went into try to get a refund. Instead of yelling and screaming in front of my child he could have sincerely apologized and said we don’t offer refunds. So not only is that the biggest problem but they also could have informed us on our way in that they were closing early. Let...
Read moreWent to the Stampede Rodeo there tonight. Parking was $15 and then you get parked in so you can’t leave. There were 2 food stands and they ran out before the event ended. The prices of the food were ridiculous. Also who sells french fries with no ketchup? Over sold tickets so a lot of people had to stand. It was very poorly planned for the size of the crowd that attended. The rodeo itself was just ok.. no winner was announced so it ended oddly. Pretty disappointed in the event for the cost of tickets and the other things I mentioned. I wouldn’t attend it...
Read moreI always enjoy walking around the fair, although I will say as the years progress, I begin to notice it’s just not the same without having little ones to accompany me. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the crafts and the vendors and the food is always a must, but I always really enjoyed spending way too much money playing cheesy games winning cheap prizes just to see the faces of the tiny humans light up with joy! Those are the memories that I will cherish of the fair in Cambria County! A great place to make...
