“Extremely Disappointing Experience at CVS Edinburgh”
I visited the CVS in Edinburgh, Indiana, based on their posted hours on Google, only to find they had “modified temporary hours” and weren’t open. This caused a needless delay, and when I returned later, the experience worsened.
Despite being the only customer there, the pharmacist refused to ring up my greeting cards with my prescriptions, citing a lack of time. When I inquired about potential interactions between two creams (one of which turned out to be a pill), I was abruptly told to “call my doctor.” This dismissive attitude is unacceptable, especially for someone without a primary care physician who relies on telehealth. The pharmacist’s response was essentially, “not my problem.”
To top it off, when I tried to purchase insulin syringes for my stepfather—something I’ve done at other CVS locations without issue—I was flatly denied and told a prescription was required. This contradicts my prior experiences and demonstrates a severe lack of consistency and customer care.
Overall, the dismissive, unprofessional behavior of the pharmacy staff turned a simple visit into a frustrating ordeal. I hope CVS addresses these operational and customer service issues promptly.
FYI- when I returned home. I purchased insulin syringes through Amazon no questions needed. Called the CVS in trafalgar and they told me they would sell them to me. No prescription needed. Hmmmm apparently the pharmacy Manager just wanted...
Read moreI've been hesitant on getting the covid vaccine. Why you may ask? Well, that's my choice, that's why. Last week talking to a doctor, just general chat, I made the decision to go ahead and get it. So, I spend the 5 minutes or so and fill out the required information online, to get the vaccine at my local CVS. The website indicated they accept walk-ins, I didn't want to be a walk-in, I needed to have a set time, which they had appointment times to come in, so that is what I chose. So upon my arrival on day of my appointment I go to the Pharmacy drop off. I told the gentleman that I'm there for the vaccine. He goes and talks to some lady on the computer. He comes back and says to come back between the hours of 10a and 4p because the vaccine had to be thawed. Obviously I picked a set time and that's the time I needed, so no I couldn't come back. They offered to call another CVS to see if they could do it at that time but what is the point because it takes me 20 to 30 minutes to drive to the next CVS. Sure if the reasoning for that is to make sure that I did show and guarantee that the vaccine doesn't go to waste but who says I would have come back. You would be in the same situation. Bottom line, I did my part, why couldn't you do your part. This is one reason why people don't get the vaccine... PISS POOR PLANNING...
Read moreThe Pharmacist is very rude and has made mistakes concerning prescriptions. For example: my son had B&D pen needles called in by his Doctor. We were sent a text message saying his MIC prescription was out of stock and had been ordered. I called to see if the prescription could be transferred to another CVS location. The Pharmacy Tech was super rude and said we would have to call and have it transferred. I called another location only to be told the prescription I was calling about was for something else. I placed another call to CVS Edinburgh and talked to the Pharmacist. I explained the prescription was for B&D pen needles not for B&D lanclets. The Pharmacist continued to be rude about HIS mistake. This is not the first time we've had issues at this location with this specific Pharmacist. Prescription mistakes could kill someone. I will be transferring all of my families prescriptions to a...
