Beyond angry. To start off had blood work months ago at CCMH hospital and lab tech poked me 4x (digging the whole time) before getting a draw. Gave me the excuse that I was his 1st pt in weeks. No big deal. Skip forward March 15th go back for blood work, same lab tech. I decide I don't want to watch this time, so turn away. But while he's digging in my arm I look back to find that his procedure tray is covered in someone else's blood. I tell him that it's covered in blood. He says thanks for letting me know and continues digging. Then he moves to other arm and starts palpating. I remind him that there's still blood all over the tray. He then uses my just used alcohol wipe to scrub the tray (Caviwipes in arm reach), palpates my other arm again and sticks me. No change of gloves, work area not properly cleaned, and nothing switched out after being informed of situation. He again gave the excuse of being his 1st pt in weeks and being tired bc he has multiple jobs. I contacted lab manager and reported the cross contamination. He informed me nothing was done wrong and since they were vacutainers and a butterfly needle with safety guard, then there was no exposure. I informed him that I understand what he's saying, but that the exposure was when the lab tech used dirty gloves to palpate me followed by immediately sticking me. He said he would contact the CEO and then call me back. I requested he leave a voicemail due to my work schedule. I never received a message back. I called the manager back multiple times and left voicemails or messages with someone. I again called today (April 11th). I did get to speak with manager and he informed me that he spoke with CEO and nothing was done wrong, that it won't be treated as a dirty stick. I'm so angry. I work in the medical field, I've done phlebotomy and...
Read moreI would give them a zero if I could. Went there last night with chest pain. They were very rude with my husband wouldn't let him come back with me which I have never had any problems with him coming back with me for support that was completely wrong. The nurse was more interested in the receptionist flirting with her and making constant smart ass remarks I hope I don't have to kick anyones ass tonight. He yelled at my husband in front of other patients to impress the receptionist. That's where he spent most of his time and speaking obustriest like he was a tough guy. The floors were completely filthy the whole place was filthy things laying on floor. A sick child even asked him why was the floors so dirty and he just laughed and said yes you are right don't touch anything or you will end up with 7 virus. I would never go there again even if I was dying. It hurt my husband very much being treated and yelled at in front of other patients and the receptionist that he was trying to impress. This nurse needs to learn...
