Great place for bingo and a cold beer, but it’s seen better years. Prices have gone up and lots of other sudden changes that don’t make a lot of sense.
Lately they have one person who claims to be a member, or “soon to be sworn in,” and he’s got a habit of aggressively demanding information from patrons, including following them out to their vehicles when they won’t give him the information he wants, on multiple occasions.
In particular he has told at least one patron that they’re never welcome back again. This was simply because the patron wouldn’t tell this guy if he was a veteran or not. It was irrelevant to anything as there’s no veteran requirement to eat a meal or have a beer, or to participate in any of their community events.
This man has a huge ego and control issues. He doesn’t like being told no or anyone not complying with what he says just because he says it. He will seek retribution at any opportunity. This man is a well known bully with a history of violence and abuse against women and the elderly. It’s very concerning to think that an organization such as the VFW would accept such behaviors and allow him to bully patrons.
