Dropped head off for cleaning and measurement, paid in advance. 3 weeks later get a call that it needs a valve job and they would need to order seals and cost would be x number of dollars.. I told the lady on the phone i have seals and would leave them in the mail box. I dropped them off that evening in the race car shaped mail box since i work late. 3 more weeks go by and i get another phone call saying 3 valves need to be replaced and it would cost x number more dollars and they still needed valve seals. I informed them they already told me it would be done for the first amount and adding more dollars was not acceptable and i had dropped the seals off several weeks ago. I informed her i could get a reman head milled with valve job online for 100 less than they were now requoting me. I asked them to find the valves and see if there was any wiggle room in the price and have never received a call back. I guess i just donated a head and paid them to clean it and measure it. Dont get duped. Their follow up sucks. Edit: we were going forward with the work which is how I knew to drop the valve seals off for you. they were in a bad labeled with the vehicle type and my name. it was several weeks after i dropped them off and called for an update that i was told it would cost double what i had authorized. The bottom line is a long period of time went by between follow ups and i usually had to call and get the follow ups myself and I was out a set of valve seals as well.
