Went in on a Sunday around 3:30. There were others there which is to expected in a nail salon. Was greeted and asked what I was grtting. I said wanna get a full set if you have time. And then I was asked to sign in The sign in asked for my name and what I was geting today. I clicked manicure design. Then I sat down. They said they would be with me in a minute. I was handed a color of different nails and asked I was getting a color, I replied yes I wanna get black and white and, then the man walked away. Didn't let me finish. (Different man, then one who did my nails.) It was finally my turn the guy made small talk. Asked if I wanted a full set I said yes I want sns. He suggested the acrylic because I have no length of nails and wanted tips.(I know they can do tips with sns) But said okay that's fine. He asked what shape I said almond. He done the works. I had to have him reshape my nails as he shaped them in coffin shape and not what I asked for. He said I thought you said coffin. Buy the time he asked what color I wanted, everyone in the salon was gone. All workers and customers. I showed him what I wanted. Which was two solid black nails, two solid white nails and one checkered design with matte finish. He said oh I can't do designs. I said what do you mean. He said you didn't say you wanted a design and the girl who does them has already left. I explained no one asked if I wanted a design but I didnt put it on the sign in, and I explained I would've told the other guy i wanted a design if he hadn't of walked away while I was talking earlier.. He said we'll do you wanna come tomorrow. I said no, I came by when I could under the impression I would be able to get my nails done today. Because I work the same hours they are open during the week. He said what do you want me to do take them off. I said no that's not why I came today. He asked to look at the picture again. I showed him. Explained again what I wanted. He said I can do it but It won't look pretty. Because I don't do designs. I expressed I was disappointed that I came in and was not told that only one person does designs. He said if I would've said something before then he wouldve told the lady to wait. (Again no one asked so I didn't know.) I told him I appreciate the honesty and him not messing my nails up but no. Settled with the same colors and layout but a grey nail instead of the checkered. He went to put the topcoat on and I have to stop him again and make sure he was putting matte on. He said oh you did say matte.
In all, some of my polish is lumpy, on the side of nail and when I finally got home and wash my nails the lint from my coat finally came off. It was stuck to the tips of my nails because he didn't cure around the tip of the nail correctly.
Coming from a certified nail technician. This was a wow experience. I can do my own nails at home but most of the time I don't have time and enjoy the conversation...
Read moreWe had such a great experience at TP nail salon! I visited with my 3 daughters and my mother to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, she turned 14 that day and everything was perfect from start to finish. The salon was clean, welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. There was not a long waiting time like other salons in the past. We we were attended to as soon as we checked in and we were ready with our perfect nails and out the door quickly.
We had 3 sets of acrylic nails and 2 gel manicures — all beautifully done. My youngest daughter, who is 6, was treated so well by the staff! She got strawberries on her nails and they were perfect! My mother has alzheimer's and it can be challenging in communicating with her sometimes, but the staff treated her so well and kind! My daughter would like to give special shoutout to Vinny, who did her nails — they came out absolutely perfect, and she felt so special on her birthday thanks to his attention to detail and kindness. All of the staff gave us exactly what we asked for, our nails were perfect and did not disappoint 👏 👌 It was such a fun and relaxing way to celebrate together as a family. Highly recommend this salon, and...
Read moreWent on opening day. It took about 10-15 minutes for someone to tell me where I could sit to wait as there is no waiting area. Once it was my turn, Kevin done a great job (A+ on the leg and foot massage) and the massage chair was excellent. However, once it was time to put polish on I was switched over to a newbie who had been watching another worker. He had a very difficult time and continued to mess up. Upon his “completion,” the worker who he has been watching came to fix what he had done. All was finally done and looked good. I was there for nearly two hours and it wasnt busy. It would definitely be a few months before i attempted to go back.
Also, in looking at manicures/acrylics that have been completed on the facebook page, i think practice needs to be had: Weird shaping, missing polish in places, polish on skin, skin tore up around the cuticle i assume from a dremel.
Time will tell if things get better as it seems many are new in the game. I will try to give them one more chance! Ps, I wish it was dimmer in there to feel more relaxing. I felt like i was in a hospital with the bright lights and bright white walls. Although it...
