Trash school. A bunch of sorry 'professors' and poorly trained staff. I assume that anyone who works at JCJC, especially in the financial aid office, attended this junior college. They are rude, unprofessional, greedy and liars. (Or maybe they're just stupid). Signed up for the online courses to get two credits to finish my bachelor's degree from another University and they denied all of my financial aid (which I had received just fine every year at my University), we're extremely unhelpful when I was attempting to set up my classes and log in (literally everyone I spoke to had 'no idea' and transferred me till they hung up) and when I withdrew not even halfway through the semester because I was so fed up with my arrogant junior college teachers and the lack of any help in financial aid and online courses I received a full bill from this school WITH fees tacked on for withdrawal. No wonder they offer all the petal graduates such great scholarships, they take them away and deny financial aid as soon as they get there. I have made sure to tell anyone I know whose looking to get a few credits at Jones to AVOID them at all cost and any high schooler whose looking into them to stay...
Read moreEh. I am honestly glad I do not take face-to-face courses here because the way the online instructors communicate with you is already rude. When asking a simple question, I got talked to like I was completely beneath the teacher and completely dumb as hell. I am a student that likes to make sure I am doing everything correctly and turning in my work the correct way. I emailed my teacher with the utmost respect and acknowledged the fact that the answer to my questions was most likely already answered and just wanted to be sure. My response from the teacher (Public Speaking, SPT 1113, W01) was very RUDE, and I feel as if he was attacking me for asking a simple question. Luckily, I was raised a lot better than he most likely was and gave him a "Thank you for answering. I hope you have great day." I am VERY thankful I go to Miss. State and just have to take some classes online to catch back up since I've changed my...
Read moreI made the right decision to become a non-traditional student at JCJC six years ago. The faculty and staff are absolutely amazing. I was very pleased with my experience as a student and very fortunate to have worked with administration shortly thereafter.
This is a great place to continue education beyond high school. For those interested in online based learning, there are many options with great instructors and an eLearning staff eager to help you with any questions you may have.
The campus is relatively easy to navigate. There is a moderately trafficked (during fall and spring semesters) loop walking trail that features a lake across...
