Very clean, modern facility. This is not common in Ely, NV where most buildings and businesses are dated or in need of replacement. But it's a small town of less than 5,000 people so that is understandable. Washing ranges from $2.75- $6.25, depending on the machine size. Drying ranges from $1- $1.50 but the dryers are huge so it almost evens out the wash price if you have multiple loads. The machines look new and are industrial grade. They offer free laundry detergent and free coffee. Vending machines are available with small snacks and sodas at fair prices. The restrooms are some of the cleanest I have ever seen. Change machines are available if you need to get quarters. Lots of magazines to read. There is a bulletin board of you want to post something for sale. Laundry bags are available as well for 75 cents. They also offer a drop off service for...
Read moreI was verbally assaulted by the attendant for having my service animal with me. My service dog was posing no threat. He was quiet, leashed, and next to me as I was loading the washers. She came from the windowed attendee room, and around the corner to approach me, saying that she was afraid of service animals, that she was bitten by one before, and that I had to take him outside. I need him with me. I called 911 and the officer showed up, talked to both the attendant and me, and then told me that because it is a privately owned laundromat that they do not have to abide by State and Federal ADA Law, and that there was nothing he could do about it. I stopped my washers mid...
Read moreIf you're traveling, it's a bit pricy. I opted to wash my darks and colors together to save money as the small machines are $2.75 double load. The dryers were $1 each for 20 minutes. I was a bit disappointed because I only needed about 10 minutes for the colors. Most places I've been start at $0.25-0.50 for 8-12 minutes. Everything came out clean and fully dry though, so I guess the price is the only complaint. If you have less than 2 loads it's over priced. $4.75 to wash when it should've only been $4 tops. Guess that's what you have to deal with in a small town. They need to make up for lack of business by...
