Somebody was selling their mobile home on marketplace, reduced because it needed a lot of fixing up. Being a single guy with a son this was perfect for me. I had to do a background check through the community but was told not to worry about credit report because her credit score was only 400 and hers was approved only 2 months ago. this made me feel better since I was in the mid 500s. Did the report on Thursday, heard back Friday when they asked me if I would be able to pay additional months of lot rent in advance. I was kind of shocked, so my credit was being taken into consideration. I told him I could do two months in advance. Heard nothing back the rest of the day, then a long weekend. Nothing Monday they told me they would have it by the end of that day. Seller called me up that evening getting panicked, but they agreed to wait till the next day at noon. 10:00 a.m. the following day I messaged the office, what's going on you told me you would have it yesterday. "I'm sorry we still haven't heard back but it doesn't matter because the lady sold it already".... Absolutely devastating. So this community stole $50 of my money to do a background check which doesn't even show up on my credit monitoring report which tells me it was never done.. I absolutely believe it was due to the fact that I receive social security disability instead of being employed. I will be finding out. I am contacting an attorney. They call me Friday asking for additional rent indicating a report's been done but 4 days later they still have no answer, nothing showing on my credit report. None of it adds up. they stole my money and quite possibly violated federal law by discriminating against me because of my disability and I will not go away until I get to the bottom of this. I also forgot to add but they also message me on Friday telling me that they were unable to open the standard email attachment of my driver's license and social, so I sent it again. Monday they messaged me again and said they can't open it. It's literally a standard attachment that I send to anyone who's ever needed it. So I converted it to PDF file. This was a classic stall tactic to force the seller to find a different buyer. And save the standard reply to call you if I want to discuss it further. I've messaged the office and corporate about the phantom credit report and they have to refuse to respond. You know my number and my...
Read moreI made a semi positive review a few years back in regards to the positive changes that were being placed. A new playground, the additions to the pool, the newly paved roads and overall improvements to the community. However, after these positive improvements, Yes Communities allowed the park to fall back to a worse state than it was before these improvements. We no longer have much needed security, which allows for both residents and non residents to easily vandalize the playground, individual homes and destroy the overall look of the trailer park. I've seen numerous safety concerns in regards to broken and open electrical units (Photos 4-6), as well as a minor sinkhole in the road near sewer grates (Photo 2). The public pool which was open for years before the shutdown during the Covid-19 pandemic has been closed due to a failure of construction in one of its walls. Instead of fixing it, they allowed the pool to sit there and continue to rot, whilst still advertising the usage of the pool knowing full well it was unusable (Photo 3). Yet, Yes Communities is content with spending its profits on advertisement instead of making new improvements. There was a large fence along the side of the tennis court at the playground, (which has been unusable for a considerable amount of time) and during a storm the fence fell over a few years ago. Instead of reinstalling the fence, they completely removed it. One of the swings on the swing set was broken, and instead of replacing it, they once again removed it a few months ago. Most residential streets don't even have sidewalks, and the ones that do are in need of landscaping work. Some roads were recently paved, and while it was necessary, the crew left extra piles of asphalt in the grass (Photo 1). The benches surrounding the park and under the pavilion as well need a new layer of rubber coating.
Overall, Yes Communities have seemingly given up on this place. I highly doubt that any new exceptional changes will be made in the near future. I hope this review helps anyone who is looking to rent or buy...
Read moreWas a resident here for almost 20 years. I invested almost 100k in purchasing 2 homes here. Sickness caused me to get behind on lot rent and they were in the process of evicting me off the land. Yesterday the property manager gave the okay to a baliff to illegally break and enter into my house, before the legal writ date of the 21st. They put all my remaining packed items on the curb and we didn't know until we got there to move the rest of our stuff out. The court said they made a mistake, that the property manager gave the OK to do so. Irrelevant, as we had a writ date of the 21st and we had NOT informed the park we were out. We sustained terrible property loss as our belongings were sifted and stolen. They let us back in as their workers laughed at our situation. After a 20 year patronage this is unspeakable and extremely illegal. We will be pursuing legal action against the property manager, the workers, and the city baliff who said he "was sorry and made a mistake". They have NO pool. The grounds are kept like garbage, and they do NOT care about resident anything. I'm only sorry we didn't...
