DON’T TAKE EQUIPMENT HERE TO BE FIXED! I brought a generator in to be fixed and told Kevin the seal was bad and oil leaked. He ran his finger along the seal and he saw the oil leaking as well. He told me $30 to diagnose and then $70 an hour labor they can fix it. As I was walking out, he stated it would be 7-10 days before they even look at it. Then, they called and told me the main seal is leaking (which I told him was the problem from the start) and that they can’t get parts or fix it so he will just charge me $30 for “diagnosing the problem.” I asked them to fix it with other parts or anything they had available to make it work. The mechanic said he couldn’t do it and it is a “fine line” because if something went wrong they don’t want to be responsible for something else happening to it. They told me the generator is not fixable because of a bad seal. I was told I could fix it myself if I wanted to try but I have to find the part myself and “it’s not an easy fix (job)”. I thought that’s what I was paying for them to find the part but they spend “almost an hour” looking. It sounds to me like they didn’t want to do the job so they just will make a quick $30 (I’m hoping they actually took it apart to look at it but who knows).
