The girl at the front ticket both and the manager in duty were both nice and professional however the owner that walked in was EXTREMELY rude. When we got to the window the girl asked to look inside my purse after i paid to which i stated i had never been asked that before since we’ve been here multiple times since the re-opening and she said that’s their policy. I showed her the inside of my purse and she said that my bag of goldfish from work would need to be removed or we would not be allowed to enter. I originally asked for a refund then but told her it was fine. I told my son to put them in the car. The owner walked by me inside the establishment. We walked in with my son to get in line to buy popcorn and drinks, as i had already planned. The owner very loudly kept asking do we have a problem? Is there a problem ? CONFUSED i asked are you talking about me ? I informed her that i had never been asked to look in my purse before even at other movie theaters. We always buy popcorn and drinks. & she kept interrupting me saying. “That’s our policy””That’s our policy” YOUR POLICY IS FINE. What’s NOT fine is how rude you are to a paying customer in front of CHILDREN mine and the other families waiting to get popcorn when there was no issue. I spent $20 on tickets and probably would’ve spent another $20-30 on concessions that you were penny pinching for had you not been so rude. I asked for a refund and hopefully the money is back on my card in a few days because I would hate to have to go back over there and deal with such a nasty...
Read moreOverall the vibe and feel of the cinema and the staff is great. The staff are nice, the new owners are local and have the community in mind, but I am a little put off by a couple things.
For starters I just find it a little annoying we're paying extra for butter popcorn. And it's at the employee's discretion. And most of the time the popcorn machine is almost empty and I'm getting that last bit. I always go to the earliest showings so there's no excuse why there shouldn't be freshly-made popcorn.
On to the movie selection. We have yet to see any of the newest horror/thriller releases. When I went for Smile 2 the theater was pretty full, but that was in October. Since then we've missed out on Terrifier 3, Nosferatu, Wolfman, and Heart Eyes. I get that some people want to see more family-friendly movies, but they even advertised that Wolfman would be shown and then yanked it in favor of a movie I've never heard of.
Some of us want to see movies for adults-to be entertained. We don't want movies with messages. I have a hard time believing that Paddington or Brave the Dark would bring in more money than Heart Eyes or Love Hurts.
Apologies for the novella, but I think that people want to see more of a mixed lineup of movies as opposed to ones...
Read moreWent here March 10, 2024 to see the Bob Marley movie. We got 30 minutes into the movie and the screen completely went dark. Every person in the theater (including us) went into the lobby to tell the workers that we wanted a refund. The rudest people ever! We told one guy we wanted a refund and he told us they don’t do refund's. They told us this happened before and it took all day to fix. He said there is usually a sign on the door (but there wasn’t) one person asked to speak to the owner about a refund and he said he didn’t have the owners number then he said if he called the owner they would get in trouble. So we asked for the manager, she never came out to talk to us. They offered us a free movie pass, like we will ever come back?? This was the 4:30 showing so I hope the owner sees this and talks to his...
