The Eunice Depot Museum is a gem! Had a fantastic tour there this afternoon. The docent was extremely knowledgeable about the entire museum and it’s unique collection of regional artifacts. I especially enjoyed the 1976 Bicentennial Wagon Trail memorabilia. It brought back many fun times from my childhood. I. Never. Knew. If you are looking for quaint, this is it. This is more than a museum, it is a personal view of Cajun Louisiana. Believe me when I say it's a whole different world - one with a rich history. I really like that the majority of the pieces come from the local community. Also Happy birthday to Clovis the Crawfish. Excellent little museum and people. I was actually encouraged to touch the instruments and items on display, and Judy Young was very helpful in her suggestions about things to see, and places to go. I also got to meet Matt Fruge, III, a local musician and...
