My boyfriend and I lost our house to a fire. We thought we would go with homeway homes. What should have been a stress free experience was a nightmare!! So many things were done wrong and the quality was half assed. Our project manager talked down to us and treated us like we were ignorant. They would not give us a for sure move in date so we could make preparations to move in. They did not honor their warranty. They tried to hire the worst heating and cooling company to fix their mistakes they made with our duct work. Our bathroom mirror and light fixture came loose because it was not attached to a stud or a 2x4. There's black mold growing on our basement walls. We even have 2 dehumidifiers in the house. The insulation is the lowest R value required by the state of Illinois. Their construction crew flushed Walmart bags down our toilets, and left pee stains on our brand new toilet seats. When cilco ran the power lines they ran right threw our sewer lines and did nothing to help us. And the insulation they advertise is not what their videos show. The windows leak. I could go on and on but I'll stop. Way to take advantage of people when they are already down. Thanks homeway we are still fixing your shoddy...
