Beautiful, but don't order through Amazon! Order directly through Montana Woodworks.
The problem is the carrier. Amazon uses terrible logistics companies, especially the last leg company. The people who delivered our bed were the worst They were total lazy clowns and our bed was damaged. Amazon later told us we can refuse anything after we inspect it, so if you do order from Amazon, make the lazy dogs wait while you inspect it. If it's damaged, you can have them send it back to Amazon right there. They also kept changing our guaranteed delivery date to try to deliver earlier. We're truck drivers, and we weren't home to receive it, so it kept getting knocked around on the truck for no reason. We talked to numerous people at the delivery company about the situation and they still kept messing it up.
I emailed Montana woodworks, and account manager, Derrick sent me a few new pieces. They were all packaged much better and in perfect shape. It was transported by Old Dominion, which is a much better trucking company. It made me wonder if they have the freight companies do the packing. I would buy again, but I would deal directly with the company. The gentleman I talked to was very nice and helped me coordinate everything, and it all worked out perfectly. The bed is really beautiful, and despite the stress with Amazon, I have no regrets. It's perfect in my house.
The piece itself is very solid. They use high quality hardware in the drawers so that the drawers don't just sit in the holes. They slide out nicely. Don't be afraid to purchase, just eliminate the headaches and...
Read moreWe furnished our new home in Wyoming entirely with Montana Woodworks furniture ordered thru Home Depot to save on shipping costs. The furniture was delivered directly to the Home Depot in Casper Wyoming. I made three trips from Dubois Wyoming with an enclosed trailer to transport the furniture back to our new home. Two of the pieces were damaged in transport. I believe they were damaged during the loading process at the store but I cannot prove this. The furniture sat in our empty home during the winter months. By the time the damage was noticed we were well past the return window and Home Depot would do nothing to help us. I contacted Montana Woodworks and spoke with Leah. She spoke with her management team and they offered to send a brand new top for the armoire and new bottom door for the bookcase. All I would owe them is a $50 shipping fee. I was able to repair both pieces as good as new! What incredible customer service! I have purchased more pieces since and will continue to do business with Montana Woodworks in the future. I cannot thank you all enough for your generosity and kindness. Tom Harrison...
Read moreI never in my life have been scammed buying from a company online until I purchased from Montana woodworks. If you are even considering it, I advise you run away like the wind. I purchased a desk from them through Amazon and the desk showed up damaged and with no packing materials at all. Just a cheap flimsy cardboard box. When I reached out for support, all they offered was $90 off or for me to ship it back for a refund. I was fine shipping it back until they refused to pay shipping costs. Now I was stuck with a damaged $400 desk that cost over $220 to ship back that they wouldn't pay for. After months of complaints and phone calls, i got amazon to agree to pay the shipping back. Once Montana woodwork received the package, they only refunded me $200 of my $400. So between shipping costs and these thieves, i am in the hole $400 yet. Amazon is supposed to be refunding shipping which i have yet to receive and these guys still haven't refunded the other half of this desk. This battle has been going on for 6 months. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS...
