Tyler Sellers was a Godsend for us in our time of need. Our 25 year old daughter was traveling from Virginia to Louisiana to arrive at a very important medical school rotation and had just gotten an oil change before the long trip. She started experiencing issues with the car and pulled over immediately - the engine had smoke coming off it. This was a Friday evening in July after 8:00 pm. As a Mom, the first thing I'm thinking about is my daughter's safety, getting someone to tow & fix the car, and finding a hotel room for her. I google car repair in Eutaw, Alabama and find Sellers Wrecker & Repair. They have a few good reviews, I'm desperate, place a call and thankfully Tyler answers the phone!! I explain the situation and he assures me he will get the car and deliver my daughter to a hotel that I book on-line while speaking with him. He even told me which of the 2 hotels in this small town to choose. I obviously didn't know him at all, but he was so sincere & kind and I was desperate and just got a sense that he really was honest and true. He got to my daughter as soon as he could and then drove her to the hotel. While she waited for Tyler, other lovely strangers refused to leave her until he arrived at the rest stop she pulled into. The other folks had wanted to take her to the hotel, but he stayed in touch with my daughter and me by cell phone and asked my daughter to please not go with anyone else because he "promised your Mom" that he would take care of her. After dropping her off safely, he went back to his shop and called me around midnight to let me know there was too much oil in the car, it exploded onto the engine, and that if she didn't stop as soon as the car started acting up, the car would have eventually caught fire and we "dodged a bullet". He couldn't take care of the car as quickly as my daughter needed to be back on the road again the very next day, only because there were too many things to check and lights that had gone on at the dash board, but he was willing to drive her to a rental car spot 35 minutes away. This small town has no Uber, no Lift & no Taxi's !! Fortunately she found a taxi company in Tuscaloosa (35 min. north) where the rental car company was, to come down and retrieve her.... but Tyler was seriously going to shut down his shop and run my daughter to the rental car company just to get her there before they closed at 2 pm on Saturday. He went over the car and checked everything as we stayed in touch with him over the next week or so. I even asked him to drive the car around and get it up on the highway and make sure everything was ok. Tyler accommodated and was always so nice every time we spoke with him. When it was time to pay for the repairs, his bill was way lower than I ever expected. I even told him that I am sending a gift card so he can take his wife to dinner for all he had done to help us. Tyler Sellers is a wonderful, trustworthy and kind person, a knowledgeable car mechanic and he is only 25 years old. His parents/family should be very proud of the man he has become. To our family, he is the guardian angel that was sent into our lives on that frightening night when our daughter was stranded in a small town over 11 hours from us. I drove to Eastern Kentucky last year in March 2024 to be with my Dad for the beginning of his chemo cancer treatments, Driving back to Texas Friday night on April 13th.my 2013 Challenger broke down around Eutaw Alabama, Tyler the owner of Sellers Wrecker n Repair said he have my car picked up n towed to his mechanic shop and he would look at it maybe Sunday when he returned from vacation, We talked Sunday and he said it looked like the transmission was completly burnt up but his ace #1 transmission mechanic would give a expert review Monday. On Wednesday , Tyler said his Ace # 1 transmission mechanic said my 2013 Dodge Challenger transmission was completely destroyed, said the transmission bands were melted together, that he never seen one that bad, also said my radiator seemed 2 b no good, that I lost all the fluid, he estimated 3-4 weeks time n $ 4000.00 -$5000.00 Repair cost, My decision was to rent a U haul n tow it back to Texas, I was charged $400.00 from Tyler for the Wrecker Service n stayed in a Motel for 5 nights around Eutaw ,Alabama.......Bought a New transmission and took the car to a mechanic in Beamont., Texas that a friend referred to, said he was a honest , trustworthy mechanic. This mechanic called me up when he looked at my car and told me there wasn't nothing wrong with my transmission, that I was 100% lied to by Tyler in Eutaw, Alabama, this honest, trustworthy mechanic said a Nut had backed out from the driveshaft n that's why the transmission wasn't going into drive n reverse gears, this mechanic tightened the nut up, drove the car for 20 miles, called me to pick the car up, I was charged $ 150.00 for the work this mechanic did. Returned the New Transmission, got my $ 4000 back .That was about a year ago n the car is running great.... This took a year to write Tyler and I've been really hoping serious bad Karma has come into your life or will for YOU BEING A LYING, SORRY LOW LIFE POS....TO BE A SORRY POS N TO TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A AMERICAN THAT BROKE DOWN ON A HIGHWAY DRIVING BACK HOME AFTER BE WITH HIS DAD FOR 5 WEEKS WHILE HE WAS RECEIVING CHEMO TREATMENTS IS UNBELIEVABLE. This is one incredible company! My daughter was traveling to Atlanta in a car we bought a week earlier. The BMW 650 has custom wheels and low profile tires. While traveling east in a highway overlay project on I-20 near Eutaw, Alabama at around 1:30 AM, she made a poor decision to change lanes onto the elevated passing lane, pinching the tires and causing one tire to immediately go flat. She pulled off at the next exit but the only gas station had closed at midnight. No other businesses in sight. My daughter and her boyfriend were stuck in the middle of nowhere, with no spare and an anxious mother and father 4 hours away. My daughter called Sellers Wrecker & Repair and they wasted no time arriving and loading the car on a flatbed truck and offered to take them to the nearest hotel. The next morning the nearest replacement tire was in Tuscaloosa, 35 miles away. They drove the rim 35 miles to have tire replaced when the tire store informed me they wouldn't take my credit card over the phone. Once again, the driver going over and above what anyone would expect, had enough cash on him to pay for the tire and quickly made the offer to pay and drove back to my daughter. He put the new tire back on the car and she was on her way! I was shocked when he told me what I owed him, as it was half of what I was expecting. We were in a critical situation and they did not take advantage. In this day and age, it is incredibly rare to find good people, willing to do everything they did, in a big city, let alone on a long lonely stretch of highway in the middle of the night!
