Purple Sage Golf Course — Local services in Evanston

I’ve been playing at the Purple Sage my whole life and I still have yet to find a course as unique as this one. Holes 12, 13, and 18 are iconic. The course is in the greatest shape I have ever seen it. To say that “the Purple Sage Golf Course is hidden gem” is an under statement. Prices are super reasonable and they just got new carts. With 6 different tee boxes golfers of all ages and skill levels can have a great time. The friendly staff even provides a great Jr. Golf program during the summer months. Even taking into account the short Wyoming golf season, the Purple Sage exceeds expectations every year in regards to both Pro-shop and grounds keeping duties. My brother called 3 days ahead of time to book our tee time. The day of, our reservation is not in the computer! No big deal, they got us in, teed off at 11:15am and all was well. A tournament started at 1pm😳 everything got so bottled up…it was nuts! The marshal comes out and asked us if we could skip a few holes to get a head of the tournament. We were fine with that. The marshal had us follow him back the way we came from and then he stops. He tells us to start back at hole 1 and play our 18 holes🤩 so we got 6 holes of free golf and we enjoyed every minute! Garbage absolute garbage. Rental driver literally fell apart after one real swing. They then charged me for the broken garbage club. Then I had skip the first hole due to timing issues and when I arrived at the second tee with the replacements that THEY had given me they were left handed clubs so unusable by me.
