Do not buy the extended warranty. They won't even honor it. The couches are cheap unappealing. They won't look good in your home We prepared for our new furniture by putting in new floors & painting. Our couches are huge eye sore from day 1! The sales team cannot fix tje issue of cheap materials & manufacturing from 3rd world countries such as Vietnam. Im shocked & appaled that Slumberland furniture stores are selling cheap furniture made in 3rd world countries and ripping Americans off. This is exactly why president Trump is trying to eradicate the cheap products that are flooding the country. They moved their production outside of the USA to 3rd world countrie(s). They pay slave wages less than 3$ hr. The furniture is then imported back into US where it avoided tariffs for many years. Ashely furniture & Slumberland are exploiting labor & cheap materials in 3rd world countries for the American furniture industry. They do this to maximize their profits. We do not support this, and were highly upset about the condition of the couch that was delivered 1 mo ago!
Update: they came & added polyfill to the lumbar cushions but the actual cushion you sit on are sagging with deep wrinkles. The couches look like cheap couch from China or Indonesia or some other country. Americans wouldn't make a couch like this. Americans would stand behind their products as well. Although the staff were very helpful & eager to sell you a couch. The sales team has now threatened to send delivery drivers to our home & take our furniture back insted of honoring the 200$ 5 year additional warranty we purchased. Sales team needs more customer care skills. They need to ne attentive to consumers needs, and they need to stand behind the products they sell. They are trying to bully and intimidate us now. We bought 2 new couches (1488$) they are less than 2 weeks old and the spot where I sit was sagging from day 1? Definitely not worth the 1,500$ we spent. This new couch we purchased less than 2 weeks ago is sagging worse than our old couch after 8 long years. This is how it looks after sitting for 1 hour. The sales told me I have to unzip the cushion & stick my hand inside there to fix the poly fill inside the cushion? This doesn't even seem plausible. Im supposed to do this after sitting on the couch everytime. Completely unacceptable! I urge everyone to do more research before they purchase anything from this store. As we did not do this. This couch looks nice but the materials are low cheap quality. I have never seen a brand new couch do this. We are 150% unsatisfied with the large home purchase. This is something we saved for over a year to purchase. This review should help prevent people from impulsive decision making. Do not purchase over priced low quality furniture from Slumberland because it looks nice on the showroom floor! This is what you get. The review is based on the quality & integrity of the furniture not the sales team. They were just doing their jobs. I do suggest they take their hard earned money & buy something expensive to understand the frustration that comes along with seeing what you paid for is not what you received. Management's way of handling this is extremely...
Read moreWe purchased an almost $3,000 couch one year ago in February. My husband was told that it was rated for weight much higher than him and that it was leather. The couch seat has sunk and is no longer comfortable; in fact, it causes him back pain. He has Stage IV cancer and his treatments cause severe fatigue so he needs a place to recline lest he spend entire days in bed. He called Slumberland to see what could be done to remedy this and someone came to look at it and confirmed that yes, it is need of repair. The manager called and my husband was told that the one-year warranty had expired in February, two months prior, and that they could give him a number for someone in Ely to fix it. The "leather" on the headrest is peeling and the manager told him that sometimes leather reacts to certain things in a person's body and causes that. My husband informed her that no, leather doesn't do that but "pleather" does and he was told that the couch was leather. She then looked up the specs and sent them to him (see photo). So, apparently the back part is made of something different than the seating??? She said that he was already given a $700 some dollar discount because it was a floor model and there was nothing more they could do. So, really? We are supposed to stick more money into a couch that we already paid over $2,000 for? We paid extra for the extended plan but of course, since the peeling leather wasn't an "accident" it isn't covered. I guess we should have lied. Buyer beware! Slumberland claims on their website that satisfaction is guaranteed but when it comes down to...
Read moreWalked in 5 minutes before closing. Felt real bad about that. But the salesman was so so nice. He didn’t mind helping my husband and I find what we were looking for. We went in to just ask the salesman if they sold tv consoles with a fireplace. The salesman was more then happy to answer any questions and show my husband and I the consoles they have in stock. He took his time with us wasn’t bothered when we asked if he could show us how the fireplaces work. If he was bothered or upset he didn’t show it. Very friendly. The salesman made sure we didn’t have any further questions before we left and even after we walked out and then remembered one more question had and so went back in to ask it. He was very happy to answer it. I would definitely go back to purchase more stuff from this salesman and store. I’ve purchased items before from Slumberland but have never had such a great salesperson as I did tonight. Just can’t say enough great things about the...
