If I could rate it less I would. Word to the wise and a warning, if your scrap is larger than 4'x18" they will consider it "unprepared metals" and you will lose out on $$. I went there with a half ton of #1 steel. There was 35, maybe 50lbs TOPS of dirt in the load. Scrapyard attendant Cindy B decided it was 125lbs of dirt and deducted it accordingly. I accidentally left a milk crate on the ground with a claw hammer, crow bar and an 8" cats claw pry bar. I went back and told Cindy I left the 3 tools there. She starts off with "I paid you for those" then says "I only saw you with the hammer and cats claw." I said to her listen, if you want the dollar back for them I'll give it to you. AND theres no way you only saw me with those 2 tools because the hammer and crow bar were sticking out of the milk crate, the cats claw was lying flat. If anything you only saw the hammer and crow bar. And how would I know those 3 tools were lying right next to each other if I didnt just accidentally leave them there? She said "if it's that important then take them." Like gee, thanks lady....
Read moreNot very pleased. Scrap was pre sorted and the guy operating the scale made no effort to differentiate or announce what the metal was being rung up as. Clean aluminum tubing and bar was rung up as dirty aluminum sheet. 2 Lexus aluminum rims were rung up as dirty (tires on)... But they didn't have tires on them and were spotless (blatantly obvious). Did not like how there were two guys running the weighing operation, one guy said what to put on the scale and the guy behind the counter logged the weights. It was not clear at all how they tared the containers either. No straightforward communication between them resulted in me getting a receipt for incorrect metals classifications after they had already been moved out of the way. It's a petty amount of money that was lost but it's just bad practice for a scrap yard. If you've got a big haul, be prepared to define want you are expecting, because they'll bump it down a grade and won't tell you until...
Read moreIf I could give it 0 stars I would. We scrap often to a different yard but went here today because it was too far to go to our home yard and we were appaled by the way they do things here. Female attendant is rude and condescending to younger folks (not a good look at all) and kept pushing to give us light iron price for all our heavy. She rushed us to get moving and berated us for leaving 1 plastic bottle in her yard before I even had a chance to pick it up (so I left it there I don't care) threw everything she had to say back at her after seeing what kind of person she is. Ugly ugly ugly. The level of shadiness at this yard is ridiculous, and you should only go here of you want to get scammed. We will NEVER be coming back. Her sign in front of her weigh station said "The witch is in" - change that W to a B and...
