Cookies has been one of my favorite places to visit and "pick" antiques and vintage clothing for over 3 decades. I had a shop of my own in Providence for about 20 years and Cookies was one of my best antique sources. There is still always a treasure there waiting for me! The atmosphere has always been like home and the thrill of the "hunt" always a pleasure for me. In years past, Cookie and Rhoda were the host and hostess with the most generosity of any two people I knew. Price tags mean nothing at Cookie,s. I as a customer always come away feeling I have been given a gift. Now that Rhoda is running Cookies on her own, she always makes me feel welcome and her generosity continues. Rare to find the combination of successful business woman and the kind soul that she is. There continues to be new/old interesting things in her shop and I just LOVE all her costume jewelry! Antiques and fine jewelry don't last long at Cookie's. She has a loyal customer base that love her, her shop, and her...
Read moreI had a wonderful time here :â) I was shopping around for jewelry in the $1 earring section, and realized by the end I was low on $$ (heads up cash only!) I panicked, told the owner and ran to my car to search and came back with a bottle of wine and only $3. The owner called me a sweetheart, declined the wine, and she passed me about all $20 priced worth of jewelry (worth much more of course) for my $3 despite my protest (this included a stunning pearl necklace with a handmade unique metal clasp). I thanked her profusely and we talked for a bitâshes a total angel and Iâll never forget her generosity :) will be returning soon w cash!
Side noteâthe last reviewer has clearly never entered an antique store, and lacks some humanity. Itâs pretty on par with others as far as organization, and shes a wonderful lady whoâs owned this shop for 53...

But dig a bitâŚyouâll have realized why itâs called, Cookie Shop. She mustâve closed for a while and just opened up again. Hesitant on letting this rare gem out. ButâŚshe deserves a shine in a collection she seems to have collected over many years and finally letting it go to the public. So get your cookies while it lasts. And the smell of the wood burning stove isnât too shabby either.
Bring a mask and gloves..and have some fun. Most things are priced just to keep away the wary.. but she did an amazing bundle deal. So Iâm sure, sheâll bargain with you. And remember have fun with itâŚshe sure did⌠so many groovy cool things i did not want to...
