I received my monthly $5 off $30 coupons in the mail and also my birthday coupon for $5 off any purchase over $5. When Scherbarths owned Ace, I was always told that $5 birthday coupons could be used in conjunction with the monthly coupons--apparently that policy has changed.
Today I bought a Fiskars hedge trimmer, a bag of diatomaceous earth, and a pack of blades for my Stihl weedeater, total before coupons (not shown on receipt) was just over $59. AFTER scanning both coupons, the cashier informed me that to use both coupons I'd have to spend another $30! Apparently, since she scanned the birthday coupon first, which only required a $5 purchase (even though I'd spent well over the $30 requirement of the other coupon), the register wouldn't accept the coupon requiring a $30 purchase. I love supporting locally owned businesses and wouldn't be writing this bad review if:
The cashier had told me that only one coupon could be used.

I call it a lemon because it was used two times to mow between garden beds, and then it refused to start. It was stored between uses in an enclosed shed. Larkins Ace Hardware is blaming him for using "bad gas" when everything he owns uses the same fuel from the gas station. They refuse to give a refund for their product. Buyer beware, do not purchase machinery from Larkins Ace Hardware! They don't care about selling their customers bad products.
