Indian Hills Golf Course Pro Shop — Local services in Fairfield Bay

Course was under construction yet was kept open. First hole was unplayable but the club house just told us to play 2-10 instead. Large spots on the greens were burnt and many areas of the course were roped off and unplayable. Lots of potential but looks like it won’t be enjoyable to play for a few more years.

The most disappointing part was the rental clubs. I often do not travel with clubs and will rent a set at a course that I’m visiting. I have never had such a raggedy set to play with, and I use the term “set” loosely. A few of the clubs were the same brand, but most were mis-matched. That could have been overlooked easier if there more clubs. Of the two sets we rented, there were 0 drivers 1-3 wood, 3-5 woods and random irons, but no 6 or 8 iron. Very easy access trail. Starts right off the parking lot. This is not a handicapped accessible trail. Although you could access the big cave by way of golf cart.

We took the trail. Shady, lots of steps and cool mini caves. Leads you straight down to the big cave. My daughter scared some birds roosting in there and they came shooting out and scared her back. Feels a lot bigger than it looks in pics. Pictographs were kinda cool. There is water running in the back. There are little nooks to explore and my little one could safely run around in the cave.

My hubby wanted to continue on the trail beyond the cave. Unfortunately the presence of poison ivy on and near the path made him choose not to. It just wasn't worth the risk. So that was disappointing. Wish the trail had been...

Fantastic course, was in good shape. Few of the greens need a little work and some of the tee boxes were under repair but overall good shape. One of the best par 3s I've played, way down hill was a blast. Only had the chance to play one round while I was out in Arkansas and glad this was it! Pro shop staff was very friendly and drink prices were actually reasonable. There is a small restaurant attached to the pro shop with a great chicken sandwich.
