Lyman's Farm Store & Amish Furniture — Local services in Fairfield

We are big fans of Lyman's Amish Furniture! We googled "Amish Furniture" and "Maine" and found their store--and we are so glad we did! We drove up to see what they had, and immediately fell in love with a bedroom furniture set. Joy talked to us about the wood and staining options available for the furniture, and walked us through differences in hardware options, too. We also found a coffee table and end table we liked after flipping through furniture company books, and we were able to see a similar example on the floor. Their floor inventory is a bit more limited, but they stock nice tables, chairs, and bedroom furniture from several companies they do business with. We placed our furniture order later over the phone (we looked at another store but the quality of furniture didn't compare to Lyman's) and had the bedroom furniture delivered in October, and the coffee and end tables delivered in December. The furniture is gorgeous and Joy and Tom (her husband who handles deliveries) were wonderful to work with. We would definitely return for any other furniture needs and highly recommend the store for anyone looking for high quality...

Husband and I are looking to purchase a bed frame, buffet and chest of drawers. We stopped by to look at their stock and start making decisions on style, wood and stain. I fell in love with several of their pieces and have added additional pieces of furniture to my list. The furniture is beautiful, well built and worth the investment. We will definitely be ordering thru them. The customer service was excellent. The first employee, a gentleman whose name I forget was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of our questions, showed us different options and styles for the pieces we want. He knew we would not be buying anything today and continued to spend as much time with us as needed. On our way out we decided to look at one more thing when we were approached by another employee and we received the same excellent customer service as the first. I'm so glad we stopped in. They will definitely be getting...

You could easily pay as much or more online for furniture that would be a quarter the quality. This is furniture which is made to last. We had to get a new living room sofa and chair, and wanted something solid- this is the place. The owners are a delight to talk to. It's worth taking your time to walk around and appreciate the sheer quality. Nothing here is fast fashion, it's all going to be as good in ten, twenty, thirty years as it is now. This stuff does not go out of style.

It's almost impossible to go in and not try those rocking chairs, too- we only wanted the sofa but man, those rockers are something else....
