I was recently an employee with Skyline at their Cleveland location before it closed on 12/31/2023 . People from their corporate office came on 12/18/2023 to let us know they were closing and we would be out of work . At that same meeting we were told that we would receive pay through January for the late notice and because they felt bad because they know we have families and wanted to help . Well now they are closed and I was paid for the first week but nothing after that , once I reached out they let me know because I wasn’t employed with the company for atleast a year I won’t receive anything. Even though I worked up until the very last day picked up shifts for the employees who they are paying because they been there longer but wouldn’t even come for the last days of work . I tried expressing how I am a single mother of 2 I have no family and no help and was depending on that money . Their hr vp Natasha told me legally they didn’t have to give us anything and didn’t have to tell us anything , after me pleading that I had bills , a car note and needed to feed my kids .This company made so much money the last 2 weeks at that location after announcing they were closing but doesn’t want to keep their word and pay the employees. I feel like if they would’ve told me I wouldn’t be receiving any pay I would’ve taken the proper steps to get another job so I wouldn’t have any stop in my income ,but instead they allowed us to believe we would be taken care of so they could have staff for the remaining days . The company you’ll love so much doesn’t care about their employees and their families just making money and not...

Read moreThe Dayton market has recently gone downhill due to a series of changes made by corporate individuals who I suspect spend barely any time in the actual restaurants. There are no longer hot sauce, napkins, salt or pepper on the tables, making it much more inconvenient for both the customers and the servers. When I asked the server what happened to the tables, they apologized and said they weren’t sure why and offered to bring me anything I needed. Great service from the actual workers aside, you’re making their job more difficult with unnecessary rules and trying to fix problems that simply don’t exist. Every time I go in there now, there are less than half the people I usually see in there. I suspect it’s from corporate’s new policies. My advice- stop making these people’s jobs harder for no reason and stop creating false issues and finding “solutions” for them that at the end of the day have not a single positive impact on the...
