O. M. G.!!! GO. THERE. ASAP. !!! 🙌💛💛INCREDIBLE, LOCAL, FAMILY-OWNED, (YESSSSS, LOCAL!❤️), HIGH- END APPLIANCE SHOWROOM with 60 brands of appliances! GO THERE, ASAP!!! What a wonderful place! Make an appointment with AMBER (she’s been there 8 years) and she can tell you anything and everything about all the appliances!!! She is AWESOME!!!! Amber is a true jewel; very genuinely sweet, friendly, high energy but very patient, clearly wants you to take your time and make the best decision for what your needs are. She is not at all pushy, does not try to upsell you. Amber is extremely knowledgeable. I already knew that I wanted all Wolf appliances again, including a subzero refrigerator.
Today’s truly fun, exciting, and very informative experience with Amber was a polar opposite experience from 2 years ago when I purchased $50,000 of Wolf appliances (including a subzero refrigerator) from Ferguson Appliances. After that experience with Ferguson Appliances, I knew that I would NEVER use them again. I felt like nothing more than a number to Ferguson Appliances. They want to hurry you through an appointment to make a sale and get you out of there so they can move on to the next customer. They are ALL ABOUT making MONEY.
However, I LOVE Wolf appliances. I was referred to Custom Distributors by Brian at STONE DESIGN (another wonderful, local, small business who is removing all my quartz countertops and installing granite this coming week). The experience with Amber and Custom Distributors this morning was literally a complete opposite experience from Ferguson Appliances. We were warmly welcomed at Custom Distributors. My husband loved walking around the showroom, looking at the vast array of appliances, including some incredible high-end grills. Every single person that we encountered at Custom Distributors was the upmost professional, but yet at the same time, you felt like you were seeing old friends. The people were so genuinely kind and welcoming. It was absolutely amazing. We love doing business with local businesses and this is an incredible place that you should check out ASAP! We are SO excited about buying our appliances from them! This morning, Amber helped me select all Wolf; microwave speed oven, refrigerator drawers, dishwasher, warming drawer, a subzero (two 36” column subs totaling a 72” wide refrigerator… STUNNNING!!!!!!) Plus, two Zephyr undercounter refrigerators, and a Bosch dishwasher for our downstairs bar area. We HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wonderful LOCAL-FAMILY-OWNED business!!!❤️❤️❤️ 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 And, ask for AMBER!🥰🤗 Oh, and they have a CHEF, YESSSSS, a CHEF (KATHY) 🧑🍳 who will come to YOUR HOME to SHOW YOU HOW to maximize the use of YOUR brand new appliances!!!!!!! When I told Brian at STONE DESIGN, also in Fairfield, about my not-so-great experience with Ferguson Appliances, he told me that I really needed to call Patrick Reiman with Custom Distributors. I called Patrick and left him a message and I was shocked that he returned my call a few hours later. Patrick’s father and uncle started the business. I knew within a few minutes of speaking with Patrick that I wanted to buy all of my appliances from his family‘s business. Patrick was so kind, informative, knowledgeable, and yet, very humble.☺️ ANNNNNND… when you make your purchase, you pay 50% down and the remaining 50% upon delivery. You can pay with a credit card, use 6 months, or 12 months SAME AS CASH financing through Synchrony Bank. Or, pay for your order using a combination of payment options; 1/2 on credit card, 1/2 SAME AS CASH financing, etc!🥳☺️🥰 Hurry up and make an appointment with Amber (or, one of the other highly knowledgeable salespeople) and go see what you have been missing! 👀 🏃♂️🏃🏼♀️ I promise, it will be well...
Read moreI built a new home and my builder sent me to Custom Distributors. The good: wide selection of appliances on display so you can go around. I worked with the first sales rep but over two weeks later I hadn't received my quote. I reached out to them and they assigned a different rep (not sure if my original quit or was fired).
The cons: while they can get whatever you ask for (i.e. I wanted BlueStar for a cooktop) they are limited in options. The hoods I ended up settling for were due to the lack of options they had. Now that I've been using them for about a month, they're pretty weak. Unfortunately they don't do any sort of exchange option so I'm stuck with selling my current hoods online and just buying replacements (my loss, someone else's gain). I'll take part blame there, I should have just refused the hoods overall and purchased my own out of pocket but I gambled they'd be good enough. I am annoyed but how much I spent on the hoods since they don't do a good job.
Price wise, I felt they were slightly higher than other places. But again, I was limited to this place by my builder so there's that (probably should have gone with Keidel or something). My budget was also kind of limited (under $20K for everything) so I'll give a little leeway to them there product wise.
So overall a solid 3. Nothing fantastic and kind of limited in regards to appliances/choices and standing by what they sell, but it could be worse and the new rep was good about getting back to me in a timely fashion. Read moreI would highly suggest you look elsewhere for your appliance needs. I placed an order in July for a remodel that I was doing. In October, I received a partial order and set up install. The day the install was to take place they called to cancel with no alternative suggested. As a result I was forced to throw out $500 dollars worth of food because I had to close on my house the very next day. A week later install was set up a second time. Upon install they damaged my custom refrigerator panels. On November 10 a second install was scheduled for my ice maker. It arrived damaged and had to be sent back. I was told that it would be at least 12 weeks to receive a new one or they could fix what was broken. Again, no effort to correct the problem,I would just have to go back to the bottom of the list as if I was ordering for the first time again. Now December 1, I have received a call to say my refrigerator drawers are being shipped and should be received in approximately 3 weeks but they are booked on installs until January 20!! I inquired about the ice maker and it was apparently not noted on my orders. I guess I will have to wait until January 20 to receive my damaged #repaired ice maker.
Things can happen, but not to this extent and if they do the company should be working with the customer to help rectify these problems in an expedited manner. Custom Distributors is not a company that does that apparently! They don’t care how many problems you have had, you just have to wait again!!
