Food Lion — Local services in Fairmont

This is the only store I've ever been too where im consistently shown the worst customer service ive ever had. For over a year and a half I shop here once a week for the majority of my groceries and can count on one hand how many times I've been treated decent. Every cashier I've encountered acts like your inconveniencing them by having them do their job. I've worked in customer service for over 20 years and have never seen a place that allows the employees to be actively using their cell phone while helping customers. They are always talking, texting or even video chatting while ringing you up. That I can look past but the attitudes and rudeness I can't ignore. I'm not sure how or if any of them are being trained on how to treat people but it needs to be looked at. No greeting of any type at the register, even if you try to talk to them or ask a question they completely ignore you, half the time they don't even tell me a total. Some of the rudest employees at any store I've ever shopped at. Clerks playing pranks on each other. Using foul language in front of customers. And quite honestly I feel that several of the associates are racist. Or that's how I'm being treated. Groceries are expensive enough now without being treated the way I have been the last two visits. I love Food Lion! Always good experience. Fun fact every city where I ever lived in NC Raleigh. Garner Durham it had to be in a neighborhood with a Food Lion!! Even when I got married and moved in with my husband.. Food Lion was in shopping center near our home!! When I was in college it was Food Town then changed to Food Lion🦁.
