Do NOT call Appliance Guy for appliance repair!!! I just got charged $99.95 for the guy to come to my house to fix the washer - all he did was open up the door, spin the drum, and tell me that it would probably be over $600 to repair the washer. He did an estimate while he was here, and found out that it would be at least $1,100 for the parts and service. He spent about 10 minutes at my house. And then he charged $100 for doing virtually nothing. I would expect to pay something for the estimate (since he did travel to my house, and his time is valuable). Started great, ended poorly. The tech showed up as scheduled and checked out my GE electric range oven which was not heating up. He told me he needed to order a new controller and would place the order the next day and it would take 3-5 business days to receive it. After 5 business days I contacted Appliance Guy and was told the part had not been ordered but they would place the order and expedite the order. Two hours they called back and told me GE had discontinued the part. So after waiting a week I had to go out and buy a new range. I doubt I will use...

They came and looked my stove, told me what parts they needed and never returned my calls or e-mails. They make you pay up front for the initial visit / diagnoses so I lost $139. They cashed my check. When I called they were very friendly and said they'd get back to me that day but they never did. It's been 9 months.
