Attending the Barnstable County Fair was an absolute delight, offering a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of crowded events. The fair struck the perfect balance, providing a lively atmosphere without feeling overwhelmingly packed.
One of the standout attractions was the impressive array of animal shows put on by the 4H. These shows highlighted the dedication and hard work of young participants, while also offering an educational and entertaining experience for visitors of all ages. It was heartwarming to witness the bond between the participants and their animals, and the level of care and skill on display was truly impressive.
When it came to food, the fair didn't disappoint either. From classic fair favorites to delectable treats, there was a diverse selection that catered to various tastes. Whether you were craving something savory or indulging your sweet tooth, there was something for everyone.
However, one major drawback I encountered was the absence of bottled water sales at the fairgrounds due to a local ordinance. Despite this limitation, the Barnstable County Fair remains a fantastic event that provides wholesome entertainment, engaging animal shows, and a variety of delicious food options. If you're seeking a more relaxed fair experience without the overwhelming crowds, this fair is definitely worth a visit. Just remember to pack your own water to ensure you have everything you need for an...
Read moreSo here's the breakdown, they have free parking but it is a little bit of a walk, premium parking is $10 and worth it in my opinion. Entry is $15 for adults and kids over 11, $5 for kids; it is just nice to get out and get back to some normalcy. I went with my 2 girls, 11 and 15 and some of their friends, they all had a blast. We bought the unlimited ride bracelets, $30 or $35 for the coaster. Most rides are 4 to 5 tickets and some of the bigger ones are 6 tickets so if you plan on going on 5 or more rides the bracelets are the way to go! Lines were a little long but to be expected, they moved pretty quick. We went at dusk, so we got to see everything lit up. We also walked thru the petting/animal area, played some carnival games and had some food. It was a good time and if you are in the area I definitely think you should go, it kinda brings back memories from the fair as a kid and I'm glad to be able to have my kids...
