I wish I could give more than 5 stars, but I will do my best to leave the review these men deserve.

I had a very large, very heavy, piece of equipment come in today that had to be carried up a flight of stairs. I called Red Barn because we had used them before and were very happy with the service, but I honestly did not expect them to be able to squeeze us in same day. Not only did they, but they were here quickly and all 4 men had a smile on their face when I opened the door.

They asked to see what we were working with and where it was going, and sprung into action. I watched for the next hour as these men worked together like a well oiled machine. They gave and followed each others directions seamlessly and worked together like they had been doing it all their lives. How they were able to be so delicate with such a large piece of machinery is beyond me (500 lbs), but they were so meticulous with every move they made I didn’t even worry for a second as they brought it into the house and up the stairs.

I feel like it needs to be noted that these men had the best attitudes the entire way through. It was hot, and the machine was heavy, they were working SO hard but those smiles never left their faces. They took time to be personable and joke with us, but never let it distract them from doing the job they came to do and never once let me feel like I was a bother or inconvenience. I felt so bad that it was so heavy and so much work for them, and not only did they reassure me that they were happy to do it but they thanked me for having them here to help.

When my machine didn’t quite fit on the table we had for it, they went above and beyond to work up a solution to make sure everything would be secure and in place. They truly didn’t have to do that but I am SO eternally grateful that they did because I could not have done it on my own. When they were done they each shared their stories of bravery, courage, determination and hard work and all that Red Barn has helped them accomplish. I did not know them before today but truly could not be more proud of them.

Any company can come in and move your items. But not any company will come in and do it with the care, quality, integrity, amazing attitudes, and personal touch that we received today. It seemed that Dijon was the lead of this job, and he did an amazing job at it! It must absolutely be noted that it did not go unnoticed the way you took charge while also looking out of your brothers every step of the way. You gave amazing direction and made sure that you were as mindful of the safety of the other men as you were with our machine. James, Gustavo and Ely I am not forgetting you, these guys jumped into action the second you were needed in ANY way and it was so amazing to witness them all work together as such a great team. Thank you all SO much for everything you did for us today and sharing your stories. You are 4 incredible humans that we are so grateful to have crossed paths with today!

Red barn movers has been our first and only call for a half dozen moves. Their program is amazing, the guys are absolute professionals, every one of them humble, kind, and happy to help. Our most recent move this past weekend was no exception.

Our guys worked hard, they pushed each other to do their best, they took great care in moving my Mother’s items without a scratch on anything. They always thank us for supporting their program, but every move has ended with us feeling like we got way more value than what we paid.

We usually buy the guys lunch after our moves and it’s an opportunity to hear their stories. It is inspiring to hear these men finding a deep reserve of courage and determination to overcome their personal challenges. These men are doing the hard work and are earning a second chance at a better life.

Our latest move was just as excellent as the others. Aaron was our crew chief and served as a great point man to communicate to the crew what we needed. Dijon (who was with us on a previous move) was a more senior member of the program but he took a step back and let Aaron lead, we were in great hands with both of them. William did a great job thinking of little details, Jaiden was always jumping in and energetic, and Joseph who was on his first move, was excited to work hard and be out in the field. We had an all-star crew! I appreciated how we could ask them to do a task, like assembling a set of shelves and they wouldn’t require lots of direction, they would figure out the best way to do a job, check with us if their idea was ok, and move forward with efficiency.

On a side note, on two previous moves we had a gentleman named Topee (So sorry if I spelled that wrong buddy!) who was our crew chief. Please pass along to him that we’re sad we missed him, but we’re also glad to hear he’s progressed to a 3rd year, also please tell him that he has helped train a great set of brothers behind him, they took great care of us, his influence continues with the next generation, and he should be proud.
