Food Lion — Local services in Federalsburg

I used to love this place and certain things, yes I still do love but there are a few things that are upsetting. Me and my family go here because it's local and so as you can imagine, we buy most if not all of our groceries here. My mom and I, have bought (guessing) around 15 or 20 one gallon of milk each time we came here (within a few months time frame) and not even 2 days after buying it, the milk is chunky and smells bad even if the expiration date saying 3 weeks in advance. It's a shame because we don't really have the money to be buying food that we have to dump out or throw away every 2 days because food Lion isn't doing their job. At first I thought maybe they had put it out on the shelf late so at first I was letting it slide but this is an on going issue for the past 5 months. We are slowly but surely going to stop buying milk here especially because of these incidents. There was a few times my mom had gotten a gallon of milk, checked the label and it was supposed to still be good until 2 or 3 weeks after she had bought it. She came home, 2 hours later, she went to get a cup of milk to go with something she was eating and realized the entire gallon of milk was bad. I told her to bring the receipt and I can see if I can ask for a replacement but me and her thought it was too much trouble. Now keep in mind, we don't even live more than 15 minutes from this place so it could not be the milk had gotten warm on the way home considering we make sure we put it in the fridge before it gets to that point..... Here recently, my mom has gotten a few of the cups that has the blueberries and strawberries in them and not even a day later most of the blueberries have to be thrown out.... We also have bought cucumbers there that were all squishy and barely any of it was of use anymore after one day of buying..... The workers, most of them are very nice. I have gotten deliveries as well which every time I had gotten something delivered, it has always been nice and the drivers have been nice. They leave it by the door where I don't have to struggle or where my mom has to struggle. The delivery people have been very helpful. The cashier's, most of them are nice. The produce people ( specificly Rhonda) is very nice. If she is putting something out on the shelf and you need something or have questions, she tries to help you and tries to make things as easy...

I ordered a DoorDash today 7/19/24 I wasn’t going to get the order till 8:30-9:39pm was my time frame. Unfortunately it didn’t come till 10:30pm cool….Jas was my dasher she was great. I asked who bagged the bag because all of the bags were stuffed!!!!! Bringing them up stairs was the worst every last bag busted on my stairs!!!!! Why would someone put 2 Minute Maid juices with 2 spaghetti boxes.. a syrup and whip cream not even double bagged! Then I ordered 5 different spaghetti sauces and a pizza sauce why are they all in one bag! Glass jars! Every bag was OVER stuffed… Come to find out the night time manager tonight was the one who bagged my items! This order was not handled with care or consideration of the customer! Because I know he would have been pissed if it was his groceries ! Please do better ! This was not...

As ai am walking through the front of the store to go down the front of an aisle, I kept getting asked over and over if I was ready to check out. There was literally a woman standing there doing nothing but trying to direct people to check out. Do not make me feel rushed when I am trying to get through my list of items, do not ask me 6 times..because I was asked 6 times about checking out. I can certainly direct myself into a checkout lane, I am not that helpless or incompetent. How about putting that person to better use and open a damn register or do some stocking. ...
