Federalsburg Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Federalsburg

I had heard alot of good things about Federalsburg Family Rest. and my 10yr old and i decicded to try dinner. We went on a thursday night which was not that busy. We were greated by a lady who was not very nice when seating us. Her attitude and lack of friendlyness was a bummer. Next our waitress came up to get our order a simple burger and fries for my son and a cold cut for me. Our food took 40 mins to get and yes it was slow in there!!!! When receiving it my sons order had chips instead of fries. Instead of leaving the burger and chips and bringing out fries she takes the entire order back. My 10yr old sat there for another 6 mins before he got his food. It was absolutely ridiculous!!! The floors and decor were not cleaned they were filthy!!! The cold cut i got i could barely eat half it was so disgusting! We sat for another 10 mins when he was done eating waiting to be acknowledged for a check! Then i got it had my credit card ready and she said oh just take it to the front counter . So once getting to the front counter the greeter(unfriendly) was there and she was getting bills w/credit card payments that were seated why did i have to walk to the front to pay mine???? This is the worst place as far as friendlyness, cleanlyness and the foods and attitudes matched they were crap. I will never eat there again and recommend you to watch yourself. Maybe new people are just treated like crap on purpose to keep the regulars coming. Lets just say for this gal it worked. Will be going to Empire Pizza...

Had to get up several times to ask for stuff as after the initial sit down our server was not to be found. Not saying she wasn't busy elsewhere just not with us. My new stepdaughter to he and I had the taco salad. Mom had chicken salad. Kristen said her salad was good. Mom are all if her sandwich and chips; I on the other hand could barely tolerate it. Thought when I asked for no jalepinos I would be home free...WRONG. So bloody spicy my mouth is still burning after two hours. God only knows what it is doing to my gastric system. Everyone was as friendly as they were years ago when I and another friend would discuss doing autopsies while eating lasagna and spaghetti. We weren't whispering either. PROS: The best beer battered onion rings I ever had. That is the only good point about this restaurant during my visit.

CONS: Waitresses walked by food on the floor by a table. A customer about to sit at that table had to ask to have the food cleaned up. Air conditioning vents on the long side of the rectangle dining area blow air directly on customers on the opposite side of the room. Very uncomfortable to have cold air blowing on my head; had to ask to have it turned down or off. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread. The bread was stale--crust on edges was hard. Sure did not taste like tuna either. Woefully overpriced for a wimpy sandwich and a handful of potato chips that were a part of the meal. Will not dine...
