Terrible experience. First the price on website was less than what they charged. Sprinklers came on as soon as we started first hole. 10 am in morning. Proceeded to 2ond hole. Sprinklers turned on before we teed off. Sprinklers on first hole turned off. Same thing happened on 3ard hole. Said something to the guy doing Sprinklers. Why can't you wait till we are done on the whole since there was no one behind us. He said he'd have to check with his boss. Boss came up to us gave us attitude about making course look nice. Again we asked wait 5 min since no one behind us. He just left. All he had to say was will see what we can do. Gave us no indication he was going to do anything. He must have thought about it because we didn't have any issues. Also the course was in Terrible shape. Mowed way to short grass all burned. Course should have been in perfect shape after all the rain we had. After our round we asked the guys at the register what's price to walk 18. $58.00with tax. Website said $48.00 plus tax. They didn't know why. My friend and I both live around fergus. We choose not to golf pebble because the price is too high and Terrible customer service. It's been that way for years. We went there this time because we had a coupon for a free cart. We also would have spent money on a beer and lunch. Decided we'd go somewhere else because of bad experience. You would think price we be lower since city subsidies the course. We go to other course and see all kinds of fergus people golfing. Lower prices and decent customer service might bring these people back. No wonder no one can make a go of it at the restaurant there. We won't...
Read moreIt's been a few years since I've been back to this course after I had a bad experience. Today I wanted to give Pebble another chance. I went golfing with 1 other person, we had a cart, and it took us 4.5 hours to golf 18 holes. Mainly because we had a fivesome in front of us; 4 walking, 1 riding. We waited. Every. Hole. At one point we waited 10 minutes to tee off on a par 3 (hole 11), and we see the cart coming back towards us at the tee box we are standing on. We think they are finally waving us through. Nope, the golfer says, "I went O.B., I'm sorry I have to go again." We moved off the tee box for him. All we could do is laugh at how idiotic this was. Is there any etiquette at this course? Or do members get the run of the course? Also do I really need to watch you buy booze from the beer cart on the green as I'm waiting to hit again? There's a reason I'd rather drive 30+ minutes to a course than test my luck at Pebble. Maybe I'll try again in a couple years.
Gave an extra star cause it is a nice course, minus a couple tee boxes that need a fair...
Read moreGolfed here for the first time in a long time. We had two tee times back to back of 6 players, as we were playing an employee came and screamed at my 70 year old mother to split our group up into 3s. It was not what was said because I understand golf etiquette but the way he yelled at her/us. He then sat and watched us play and again had something to yell about. We ended up splitting up and skipping holes in order to appease him. Had a few newer players and this experience left us all feeling like we won't be back. Played multiple golf courses in the area and never had this same experience. We...
