The long term parking pick up is ALWAYS horrible. No structure.. this wait was officially the worst. I had to wait 50 minutes for a bus to come. After the FOURTH Long Term B bus came I asked about the status of Long Term A and they provided me with a number for dispatch. Dispatch sent someone after an HOUR of waiting outside in 95 degree weather. Not to mention the tv with bus status was not even on⦠all this Makes ZERO sense ā¦. Who oversees operations???? All this said to say be prepared to ask for a dispatch number after 10 minutes of waiting because if youāre waiting longer than that THE BUS AINT COMING. I have experienced this on 3 separate occasions. Two other ppl noticed I called a dispatch and asked for numbers because they also said it happens to them.
THEN we get to the lot and NO BUSSES HAVE PICKED UP PPL GOING TO THE AIRPORT EITHER! Someone could have EASILY missed their flight.. then we couldnāt pick anyone else up because we were already full because it was full of people coming back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBWI is a consistently well run airport with an emphasis on customer service. And with a great shuttle system for economy parking! I want to shout out to the bus driver this morning for staying cheerful while big groups of people got into the bus. She was narrating her drive, checking in with people, and making jokes along the way š. She also made sure accessible seating was available for a woman who needed it when the bus was really crowded. Security at BWI is 10-15 minutes most of the times - Iāve never waited in line longer than about 30 minutes, and I travel mostly during the holidays. There are multiple security lines and itās well managed. BWI has a good culture among their staff - they do their best to stay happy, keep you informed, and keep the lines moving. I appreciate when people make an effort to make an inherently stressful experience a little better. Big props to the bud drivers, security staff, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHuge hidden charges, poor shuttle service. I booked three days of parking at the Double Tree Inn, Baltimore BWI airport. Advertised price $5.95/day, final bill $29.72. Among the surprise charges: service charge, lot fees (what are the parking charges for?). Now to the shuttle service.. I had checked with the hotel before I booked the parking and they said they do service the BWI Amtrak station. Sure enough they did provide ride to the station, but on return I called and they said the shuttle was now at the airport and would send it to to the station as soon as it returned. After 50 minutes and three calls to the hotel, gave up and called Uber (another $17 in unplanned expense). I wouldn't recommend this parking service, especially if you are not going to...
