I'm buying lunch for an working lunch meeting, 25 people with as many different tastes. I needed a restaurant with simple, straightforward ordering, payment and pickup, that can provide the quality, quantity and variety to satisfy this group, at a reasonable price.

So I typed in the URL for 700 South Deli in Linthicum, MD.

I was immediately presented with a vast menu of breakfast and lunch options, but from previous visits I knew exactly what to order: The Quick Pick Bag Lunch.

Quality: fresh breads, meats, cheeses, toppings and condiments prepared to order.

Quantity: 25, just order the day before and they are ready by 11:00am for lunch.

Variety: classic Turkey, Roast Beef, Corned Beef; multiple club options and an Italian CC sub; shrimp, tuna and chicken salads; wraps, including a veggie option. My favorite? The BLT, done right with plenty of bacon, crisp lettuce and thick, ripe tomato on wheat toast with a touch of mayo. Simple and delicious.

And each bag contains chips, a pickle, a drink and dessert with napkin and utensils, a completely self contained lunch.

Cost? About $20.00 person, quite comparable with the other big chain sandwich makers in the Linthicum area.

The food has always been fresh and a good quality for the price. 700 South has continually maintained these attributes even today. Further, the employees, owners, and now their grown off-spring turned this into a very caring, quality business that strive for excellent service! This business thrives because of all these attributes from excellent food, great service, and fine detailed attention paid to each order! 700 South even has accolades for their food and has won cookoffs with their multiple prize-winning crab soup!
