Striketown — Local services in Filer Charter Township

We took a group of 18 (4 families and we did make lane reservations the day before). We got setup and ordered a couple pitchers of beer. The pitchers and glasses tasted so strongly of bleach we didn’t drink them and instead ordered bottles (no offer to replace or not pay for the other which is fine but just a brief indication of how the night would go.) Our food took 2.5hrs to come out, and the pizza was soggy like it has sat in water or something. They were incredibly short staffed so we would bus our own tables and return our own bottles etc to help. The staff was trying hard, that was apparent, but they could not keep up. We paid our tabs and left. The next day, the owner called, literally yelling into the phone about us leaving open food and bowling. Long story short when it was all said and done we HAD paid all food and each family had paid for bowling but confusion from staff caused some games to be missed. I told him I would send a check for the outstanding amount. I forgot to send it (holiday weekend) and then had a police officer call because the guy wanted to press charges lol. I have this all in text from him and his staff too! Needless to say we will never be back and he lost 18 patrons for an error on his staff that could’ve been resolved really easily...

Great place to be! Very friendly staff members, best place to go bowling hands down! I love walking into the place as it has "that older feeling" as well as that "older smell" to the place as well, I really hope they don't change anything because I love it just the way it is, I would make the hour and a half drive to this place over the fancy bowling place here in town just for the reason of the older feeling. Everyone who is wanting to go bowling really needs to make the trip to this place no matter how long the distance. Also to note, they have very reasonable prices for everything as well, a great place to take the family and have a fun night out without breaking the bank. Home, that is the first word that comes to mind when I think of this place. The first time I walked into this place I felt like I was at home with the very friendly staff members. This place also has very reasonable prices for an evening of fun. I also love the "old time" feeling that Striketown gives you when you walk into the place with everything being older. I love that there is still a place that I can go to have a good time for a good price as well as not having all of the crazy technology things clogging the place up.
