Unplug Soy Candles — Local services in Fishers

I purchased four candles recently as I saw a promotion on Good Morning America Deals and Steals. The products were exceptionally packaged and arrived fast. I purchased Pumpkin Spice Latte, Exotic Cardamom, and Cranberry Chutney. I wanted to try one before gifting the other 3, and I started with Cranberry Chutney. At first, I was disappointed that the scent wasn't intense and the scent didn't linger in the room. I emailed the company about my thoughts on the one candle and Holyn, Unplug brand manager emailed me to discuss the difference in the intensity of the candle scents, and the one I had chosen to burn was one of the lighter scents. It is used at salons and spas generally. She called me to discuss the products, and asked me to try the PSL, and explained the heavier scent in that candle. I was skeptical, but she was absolutely right about the difference in the products, I ended up trying the PSL that night. Holyn was exceptional in her explanation of the scents, the process in the fragrance of the candles, and even offered to allow me to return the unopened products or, use a promotional code to try other scents. I was so thoroughly impressed with her professionalism and her quick response to my inquiry, I emailed her that evening. I realize I was comparing these products to the brand that I normally use, but the quality of these candles and the scent options are far superior to what I was purchasing. I really appreciate the information she gave me and I realize, obviously, these candles are different. I brought my mom and toddler to the Mother's Day event that Unplug did earlier this month. We made 2 candles. All in (including for the tickets), I paid about $120 for the event. I picked up my candles 10 days later (due to being out of town the following week for a work trip). I didn't think to double check them as the outside tag had my handwriting on it and I assumed they were correct. I got home and unfortunately there were 2 candles that were not mine. I called the store to let them know and they told me to bring them back when I could and they'd get them switched out. I just took them back today to find out that my candles had also been given out to someone with the same name and they hadn't brought them back. They offered to call me when they were returned. When I said no thanks due to the 45 minutes there + 45 minutes home each time I'd rather not deal with it. They then offered to remake the candles and ship them. I asked for a refund instead. I will say that we didn't have a good time at the event. We had to ask for assistance many times despite literally being the first ones there. It seems like it's run by a bunch of high schoolers. I had the most amazing experience at this charming candle-making shop! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had entered a magical world of scents and creativity. The shop is beautifully decorated with feminine touches that make it feel so inviting and cozy. I did a workshop for my birthday here and the candle-making experience was so fun and hands-on! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us through each step of the process. There were so many unique scents to choose from, and I loved being able to create my own custom candle. You’re also allowed to bring in outside food/drinks and decor! May I say we did couples and there are plenty of masculine smells and vessel to choose from as well! The entire experience was relaxing, and the end result was a beautiful, high-quality candle that smells amazing! If you're looking for a fun activity to do with friends or as a solo treat, this is the place to go.
