I 2018 Camaro SS manual trans car , I was striking out with my local dealers in Columbus,Ohio, but one day my mom calls me up and says there's a dealer in Kentucky, Cheaps Chevrolet that has a black SS manual trans in stock and I grew up with Mr. Cheaps wife, we may be able to get a really good deal, I said great I'll set it up, I contacted Cheaps to see if the Camaro was available and they it was when would you like to come in, I told them I live in Columbus,Ohio and it takes about 4 hours to get to you we made an appointment, so I worked half day rhat day and left Columbus around 1pm, got there around 430, so after an hour of negotiating I bought the car, so by the time everything was finalized I was ready to head back to Ohio and at this time it was starting to get dark , so the delivery was fast and I didn't have much time to go over the car, so I get home around midnight , couldn't sleep I was so excited to drive it next morning, morning came and I pulled my new Black on black Camaro SS out of the garage so I could stare at it, and that's when I noticed all this issues, first there was like 4 dents going down the right side of the car, then there over 20 paint chips over the entire car, I was about to cry, so I called up Cheaps and they told me to bring it by so they can look at, being so far away I had to wait a few days to drive back down, once I got there the Manager came out and said yeah this is bad, I have a real good detailer let's see what he can do, I knew he couldn't do anything, but they gave me a rental and I went on my way, 2 days go by and I get a call from Cheaps and they stated the detailer had no luck we will need to paint the front end of the car, hood, roof, and trunk, this is a brand new car or was it?? No it was new.lol. but I also noticed at time of delivery my paperwork stated the car had 75 miles on it, when I drove off that night I noticed it had a 150 miles on it weird, but anyways I told them that I will live with the damage, being in the auto collision industry I know never remove factory paint if you don't have too, so a month goes by and the paint chips were driving me crazy, so I had my shop fix the car and it cost me 1600 dollars worth of material, but I knew it was done the rite way, so when all this was going on, I had to get my plates for the vehicle and since I bought vehicle out of state I had to pay Ohio sales tax, so I go to my BMW to get my plates and pay the sales tax, well the lady at the BMV said this paperwork doesn't match up you would need to contact the dealer, so I had to wait on Cheaps to redo and send it back, I go a second time, the BMV noticed something incorrect, at that time I was like screw it, I'll get a dealer tag and drive on it, well Cheaps didn't like that, for some reason I think they paid the sales tax??.lol.. so today my mom received a letter from the Sherrif department stating Cheaps Chevrolet is taking her to court for the taxes. Huh? What's funny is, we can go back and say that they sold a car illegally , they did a straw deal, both buyers have to live under the same roof, or it's a straw purchase, well I live in Ohio and my mom lives in...

I said I was interested in it, and they called me that day to talk about it. I was upfront and honest that I most likely would not be approved to buy it with no down payment and no cosigner. I wanted that to be clear and that it may be a waste of time for me to come out there, but they said that was fine. I go out, and drive about an hour to come look at the car, and I'm even honest with the rep, that I wouldn't get approved. So he immediately pulls me back in from having walked outside, to begin the credit application process. Mind you, we haven't even looked at the car and I have no idea if I even want to buy this car if I even can. So he asked me for my info to run my credit. I very adamantly told him no, because I don't even know if I want the car. He seemed a little taken aback, and I get it, but I didn't want my credit hit over something I didn't even know if I wanted. So he pulls the car around and let's me take a look at it while it's running. First thing I notice is the idle is off. I chalk that up to possibly being just started, so I sit and listen while the engine warms up and eventually it levels out. He let's me drive it down the road a ways, then back. On the way out, the car did great and handled beautifully, but on the way back, I started to notice some things. There was an aftermarket part for some power control device to be slotted in with a cable sitting out. Odd, but someone has probably modified the car in some way beforehand, I'd asked if the car had other owners, because that would have told me if someone had been. He had told me that he didn't know and he'd have to look it up. On the way back, I got the car going a bit and was shifting through gears, while I'm in fifth, I get it up to 3-4k RPMs, and I try to shift it into 6th. It tries to go back down to 4th. I try again, and it it tries to go into reverse. Thanfully I had the clutch pushed in the whole time and I just settled it back into 5th. Every gut instinct I had told me not to touch this car. Even if I did magically get approved, to not buy it. Mostly because everything had started to feel off. I pull it back into the lot, let him finish running my credit, and sit and wait for thirty minutes while they "Rate my trade in" while he has my keys to my car. At this point I just want to go home, and I'm pretty over this whole experience. He comes back, says I'll need 5,000 or a cosigner, I shrug and say it's fine. On my way back, I look at the car again and notice that something is off with the exhaust and it didn't look like a stock Subaru exhaust and looked like someone had been running it really hard because of the flame hue on it. I didn't drive the car very hard at all. I think the fastest I'd gone was maybe 65. So all in all, I don't personally think I'll ever be coming back, because the whole experience felt very fishy to me. I'll chalk it up to the sales rep and the car, but I'm just advising anyone else...

The truck was fine the first day I drove it went to work the next day and the brakes felt weird I had to push on the brakes harder than anyone should pretty much to the floor. Got to work jacked the truck up to investigate the brake issue ending up being no pads left it was all metal on metal I spent over 80 dollars on new pads front and back. Once I got that I let the jack down and and started my truck brake fluid went everywhere instead of checking brakes CHEAPS decided to just top of the brake fluid. THE TRUCK WAS NEVER INSPECTED I EVEN HAD TO DETAIL IT MYSELF. The truck went into the shop a week later for shifting hard (still is) and when you disengage 4 wheel drive back to 2 wheel drive it makes a loud popping sound (STILL DOES) and has a shake in it when you drive it and when your just parked the truck will vibrate bad. CHEAPS said it was a vacuum pump and they put a new one on it and it's fine now and the shake was my tires being out of balance the balanced them. So at the end of the day the fix they made only lasted a few days an its back doing everything it was before and the reason it went into the shop. I tried numerous times to get them to cancel the loan before the time period CHEAPS REFUSED. Now I got a truck that's junk and nothing is being done. To top it all off I went to trade it with another car lot and when they drive it they feel and know there's and issue with it and they don't want it or offer a low price for it. So one car lot went through my paper work that I got from CHEAPS and there is charges on there that was suppose to be on the truck that isn't even on it for instance something about pulse lights whatever that is but it cost like 6 or 700$ that is added in and you don't know it unless you look over the paperwork. Buy local they said its the best. I recommend everyone to really look everything over before buying or most of all just go somewhere else to get a car. They only post the good never the bad and I called them out on Facebook and got blocked by CHEAPS funny stuff they know they are wrong and nothing will be done. DON'T BUY FROM CHEAPS CHEVROLET IN...
