BEWARE SHILL BIDDING! There is a major issue with the way the auctions are ran, also the descriptions can be very misleading. The issues - If you put in a max bid amount and you are high bidder on a lot and someone bids on that item with less than 10 minutes remaining on that lot, the ending time for that lot gets extended for 10 minutes from that point. Even if the other bidder does not overtake the top bid the auction end time is still extended thus making the amount you pay go up. This process is allowed to continue until someone stops bidding against you even though they still have not bid more than your max bid amount. I was shill bid on for an hour after my auction lot was scheduled to end. $2 bid increments every 10 minutes or so. Sure seems like someone would put a max bid in to try and win the auction, rather than $2 at a time continuously prolonging the end time of the auction. I have seen many other reviews with similar complaints stating they think the owners of Auction Co. were and or are shill bidding against them. The owner then leaves a comment stating they do not do such things and do not bid against you. Well I call B.S. on the owners denying they shill bid. Here is what the terms and conditions says about it, taken straight from the website. Seller Bidding: The SELLER, their agent, or the Auction Co. RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BID on the seller's item in order to protect their investment. The auction company, in bidding for the seller as their agent, will only bid on items that require a minimum amount in order to be sold. This is 100% Legal to do so, but just because it is legal, don't make it right, not in the eyes of the bidder anyways. Allowing the SELLER of a lot to bid against someone on that lot is SHILL BIDDING. The AUCTION CO. bidding against someone on a lot listed on their auction site is a CONFLICT OF INTEREST and SHILL BIDDING. There is a thing called a RESERVE that is used by a seller if there is a minimum amount willing to take for the lot. I don't know of any auction house that allows this kind of thing to happen. Could you imagine Christies Auction house, or Heritage Auctions did this kind of thing. They do not participate in such ill auction house practices. They apply a RESERVE to the lot being auctioned off. Anything else is a total scam. Liquid bidding/Auction Co. are guilty of SHILL bidding by their own admittance. Shill bidding is a term used for illegal bidding. Shill bidding is a term also used to describe shady legal bidding. And believe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly leaving one star because it wonāt allow you to leave zero stars. Iām Very disappointed with this company. Recently these past few monthās they have been selling more junk then any thing else and I find it funny reading the owners comment back to some of these reviews saying they havenāt had any thing other then salvage pallets when they literally have store return pallets up for auction this week. And have had them multiple times this past month lol. Use to love this company but wonāt be spending any more money on there junk. This place will scam you ounce and definitely scam you twice. Even there salvage pallets are not worthy of being listed they are all trash⦠these are not real salvage pallets they are picked threw salvage pallets. Buyers beware this company is a joke. And I have shopped with multiple other companyās and have never had this problem even with salvaged loads! This business needs to be reported to the better business bureau this is a crime (false advertisement).. even there single items that are listed as new are junk 90% of them are broken witch is sad considering there getting over retail for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is for the facility not the company as a whole. The website and everything is fairly easy to use and straight forward. This location is something else. There are no signs telling you where to go, so I had to not only turn around down the street, but I also tried going into the wrong building. When I actually get in there's no clear indication of where to go. I saw some people coming out of a door and the warehouse in the back so I go through there, see a large glass counter with people working behind it (it's very busy, people everywhere). I go up to the counter and wait. The people behind the counter weren't helping anyone, just chit chatting with each other. They obviously knew I was standing there. The lady waited nearly 5 minutes before asking what she could do for me. I told her I was there to pick some stuff up, she tells me to go into another room and pay in there. Again, no signs behind the counter, and lackluster customer service. It's easy to do that when people are driven by the amazing prices. Come for the parts, but...
