I really loved going to this store. Till my last visit. I am a handicapped person. I unfortunately had to use their motorized scooter. I was made to feel like half of a person. The gentleman didn't even come up to me he went to my husband and told him that I was not able to use the cart outside. That I would have to leave the cart inside. Now mind you (I AM HANDICAPPED). I really don't like bringing attention to myself. And for the employees-because now we have the gentleman and the cashier telling us we can not take the cart to the car. Because of some liability for the owner. At this point I am embarrassed! And so is my family! For the owner of Big D: You shouldn't put your employees in this situation of having to tell a handicapped person that they can't take to their car. If there is some liability that prohibits the use outside- than maybe don't have them! I am sure that you could maybe have a employee walk out with the person that is using the cart. To cover your liability! I hated having to be put in this situation! I also hate that I know feel uncomfortable going...
Read moreIt's well stocked. With a coupon you can even get a free french bread. Also Fox Drug pharmacy is integrated with a drive thru. There are limits. Prices are higher than City Market and Walmart in Canon City. There's no competition in Florence. And an 8 mile drive to Canon City. Obviously, the larger stores have more product and variety. Walmart is superior in that, also combining a complete shopping experience. Pharmacies in Canon City are open 7 days a week, and have most medications in stock. Fox Drug is open from 9 to 6, on Sat 9 to 2, closed Sundays. Special medicine is not in stock and has to be ordered. Buying things that are needed quickly, or just a few items, we recommend Big D. The name Superfoods is more in super price, some special items may be cheaper. If you're shopping for a large amount and hard to find items Walmart is the best and cheapest, not always the finest. But 8 miles from Florence is...

Is it because I asked if you were open to check me out?) The lady behind her that actually checked me out was friendly along with the man that bagged the items, but I won’t be coming here again. I usually have a pleasant experience here and the previous workers have always been very sweet to my pup but she’s special needs and I can’t shop anywhere without her as I cannot leave her home alone. Will be spending my...
