Food Outlet — Local services in Florence

The male manager of this store is rude and hateful! I went in to speak to him for a project at UNA. He insinuated that my partner and i were "tree hugging hippies" and knew nothing about environmentally and economically friendly products. He went on to state that 95% of Lauderdale county could not give a rats butt about environmentally friendly products so not having some of them that local competitors did have was in no way effecting his business. I am a 35 year old Iraq veteran and do not appreciate being talk to like I am a kid! Will NEVER shop...

Great place to shop keep the hometown grocery stores open I don't care for the big food chains they are overpriced and don't never cut chicken or meat products right way and not that comfort feeling when shopping and get a lot of things don't need ...thumbs up to food outlet a k.a. big star and Piggly wiggly love these places been going in for 51 years everyone support your local grocery stores and places for your community cause we will all be sorry if the big chains ever push...

My go to place for fresh meats. They still have their own butcher and the strip steaks are hard to beat. Very friendly staff and a very quaint little grocery.
