Lackey Furniture — Local services in Florence

I will be taking my future furniture business to Shumake in Decatur. I like Lazyboy products so that is why Shumake. When I went to the store to purchase two leather recliners In July I requested sales person to please wear a mask because I am over 70 and my husband is in his 70s and very compromised. The answer was no. I should of just headed to Decatur to Shumake or Story and Lee, but I did not. I did find what I wanted but was very uncomfortable with the situation. I also think the employee had a condescending attitude toward us. Well we got our chairs today which took four months. The delivery guys showed up with no masks and informed me they do not wear masks. I told them in my home they would wear masks or take chairs back. Of course they wore disposable masks that I provided. They were. rude and disrespectful the entire time. The attitudes about masks is why the Covid crisis is so dire. But the glaring disregard and disrespectful attitudes is the big reason I will not do further business with them. I would suspect in a few years the business will be gone. I am posting this review but word by mouth and social media will also be used regarding Lackey Furniture. Perhaps Lazyboy will consider pulling...

If you’re looking for furniture in The Shoals area, I recommend this place hands down. I had been looking at living room furniture options on line all week and had set my mind to spend a big lump sum of money on a couch alone.. I decided to check around local in an effort to support local business if I could find something I liked and wow was I surprised! Lackey’s had a couch that looked exactly like the one I wanted with memory foam cushions, washable slip covers, detachable pillows.. the whole bit FOR A FORTH OF THE PRICE!! Not only that but their employee Danny was as patient as a saint. He spent 2 hours with me pro/conning options, sitting on things, comparing details. He even pointed out potential negative qualities about the up sale! Haha! At the end of the day I am so excited about my new living room furniture and so thrilled with my experience at Lackey’s! Shared with Your friends I just gotta tell you about my trip to Lackeys Furniture in Florence, Al. I called to get an idea of services they might offer , spoke to Chris, he was very responsive and invited me to come in, which I did. In about 30 minutes i arrived at Lackeys Furniture just on Florence Blvd, I was greeted by Chris, who was expecting me. Chris helped me find exactly I wanted, a "not firm" mattress and a new slightly modern bed, Gottem a Supreme Jamison mattress and box and a black Iron Bed, just what I wanted. The best is yet, delivery was free from two of the nicest most polite courteous and efficient men , who showed up at my door called me, took care of my other bed for me, and installed the new bed stead and set up my mattress and box, Just excellent.
