THIEVES MARKET — Local services in Florence

I would imagine at one point in time that this was a really cool place, it seems like that time came and went. The outside is tired, dated, littered with odds and Ends and the inside was very crowded, to their credit we were asked several times if we needed help, but we are alright with browsing on our own. We wandered around for quite a while and did not find any of what we collect which is the nature of the game and not a factor in the review, the condition, the dirtiness, and the smells were the basis of the review. Dust covered literally every surface there were several areas that were almost blocked off to try and get to and one of the booths smelled heavily of animal urine like a cat had been allowed to use the entire booth as its bathroom. I’ll stop by again at some other point because we do believe in the two strike system but it’s gotta get cleaned up. Customers shouldn’t be breathing in...

So the appearance of this vintique mall is a little ominous... it is a tall brick building that sits up on top of a hill with a big fence around it. For me, it adds excitement to the entire adventure.

There are quite a few stray cats that get fed at this place, so they usually hang out on the front porch.

The building is practically endless period there are booths everywhere and yeah, it is a treasure trove for antique collectibles!

On this particular adventure, I was looking for a knob for an antique dresser drawer that I was refinishing. All I brought was a photo and the clerk was able to tell me exactly where to look. They didn't have the exact one, but there were several knobs that were perfect...

Stray cats running around the entire place. It actually makes for a nice stroll if you wanna wander around looking at junk and smelling cat piss. The owner will accuse you of stealing and take photos of your vehicle and your license plate, even if one of his employees WALKS you out to your vehicle with said items! By the way, it was 2 bookshelves the vendor was giving away to clean out her booth. Seems to me he wanted his commission on a $5 item.
