The Game Store Ms. — Local services in Flowood

No idea why this guy has 5 star reviews. Perhaps it's because the only other 1 star review he has, he threatens to sue the reviewer. My son is 14 and has browsed their selection multiple times since he was around 8 or 9. He has never made a purchase since the litigious Mr. Micheal has taken over, because on every occasion he tries to excessively overcharge. He once tried to sell him Pokémon Yellow for the GameBoy for $60.00 LOL. He bought the same game at another game store for $15. Just today, he tried to sell him the Majora's Mask N64 cartridge for $65. What's funny about this, is he's getting the prices on eBay. He's using the highest listed prices. Just because something is LISTED on ebay for a certain price, doesn't mean it is SELLING at that price. The same games will also be selling on eBay for half the price (and will be in just as good condition). He has a bag full of scripted excuses as to why his prices are so high; one of them is "This one is rare and the other ones are cheaper because they're reproductions" or some spiel like the other reviewer mentioned how everyone is at home and blah blah. He may or may not still be trying to blame his price gouging on "lockdown".

Like the other person mentioned, he DOES tell you to clean your games (including the contacts) with abrasive chemicals.

I'm sure he will respond to this with his 5th grade grammar and tell me he's going to sue me for slander or something. I'm not sure how he has so many good reviews. He's either giving people some kind of bonus/credit for leaving one, they are very gullible people, or they're seeing the other 1 star and are afraid this con artist scammer is actually able to sue them.

I advise everyone to check other stores in the area, check all prices on eBay and Etsy first or just buy the games online before you head to this store. I'd consider it a last resort. This guy has been trying to con a kid for several years, so I'm not sure how much...

Do not go to this man for any reason. I tried to sell him some games, and he gave me a fair price. HOWEVER, he took more of my games that were “no buys” because they were “scratched too badly”. Which is crazy seeing as I played them a week before. He took these games without paying for them. One of his OWN employees told me themselves, specifically because one of the “scratched” discs was a game someone inquired about wanting the weekend before. The other games he told me himself he THREW THE DISCS AWAY. I have messages to prove it. He gets all of his games/consoles online and markets them way overpriced. I would suggest looking literally anywhere else before going here. He will also tell you to clean your games with toilet bowl cleaner, that he proved a “college professor” wrong with this. Toilet bowl cleaner leaves long term damage due to it being an abrasive chemical. The “repair” people are definitely unqualified, so don’t fall prey to that either. I’ve heard multiple people say he has sold them products that doesn’t work, and some that paid for repair, and he “lost” their item. This guy is a classic scammer. Sad sad. He will also threaten to sue you over a 1 star review, see past reviews. Good luck doing that sir, I have freedom of speech. There ain’t no better video game place store than going to the Game Store here in Mississippi! Oh yes it’s worth it! Had no complaints, no issues, and not one single problem I have ever had since I started going to the Game Store. (Which it hasn’t even been a year yet for me.) If you can’t find a game or a console anywhere else like GameStop, or GameXchange then here is your one way ticket out! And believe me when I say this, the man who runs it or the owners who run it is gonna have WHAT YOU WANT. No lies to it. You may be wondering or ask yourself this “well what if he doesn’t have it?” Wrong! Because there is no such thing as if what he doesn’t have it. The answer is pretty simple. He does and will always have it for you. If you go and ask him. And if there something you can’t find at his store or that’s in stock. He can preordered it for you. With a fair price. He is definitely WORTH IT. The owners are real nice about their store and business and well have a good conversation with you. Anything I have bought from them ever since I have, never had a problem with it and never return it back either. Why? Because it was worth my money and time. That’s really all I can say about...
