Came here late October on a Monday with a large group to get some pumpkins and check iut the corn maze. It was a bit late in the season so a lot of the pumpkins were picked through, but there were still plenty options for our large group of 11! Pumpkins were a very fair price, especially being that everything else is free & it is a smaller family owned farm.
The corn maze was very nice for people with kids as its more simple & all paths lead to the exit, some just take longer. I imagine this would be better earlier in the season as well, as the maze is mostly comprised of sunflowers from their sunflower festival in the summer. Lots of u-pick flower options, great farm stand with delicious produce, fruit syrups, preserves and honey.
The man running the farm store even offered us a tractor ride on the weekday once his dad returned. We unfortunately had to leave but very much appreciated the offer.
This farm does not deserve the 3 star rating it has. This is a family owned, local farm, its very reasonable for them to be protective over their product. Its their families time & money. Thank you guys for the...
Read moreMy family and I have recently moved to Vernonia and was very excited to stop by the farm stand we walk in and while we’re browsing I start to hear the older woman start yelling at another customer to not squeeze the peaches, understandable to not want someone to ruin the peaches but he let her know he was judging feeling them to see if they were ready to take home he wasn’t squishing them, she the started to go off trying to embarrass him and make him feel bad. Then other customers were coming in and she was just in a bad mood giving attitude to everyone.
We instantly lost interest in buying anything from her. That was probably one of the worst experiences ever at a farm stand. If you’re looking for anything other than fruit I recommend going down to the jerky stand 2 minutes down the road. The owner has a way better attitude and is so sweet to everyone who comes in. She has way...
Read morepositives: where the pumpkins are looks cute and is nicely decorated. free hay ride. free corn maze. Family seemed friendly.
negatives: it's not really a pumpkin "patch." you don't go out to where they're grown and look in the mud, instead There's some pumpkins they have been put out in a grassy area on bales and tables and such. it looks nice but not really authentic. The corn maze is really more of a corn path. so if you are hoping for an actual maze you'll be disappointed. ( though its free. ) the hay ride doesn't have much to look at excerpt some basic Halloween decorations nailed to trees ( again it's free though). pumpkins are expensive. .59 cents a pound when we went. when there's patches with 3 and 4 dollar pumpkins that's pretty rich.
overall it was okay. but we probably will go...
