This ancient tree stands approximately 265 feet tall, with a diameter of 24 feet and a circumference of 55 feet, making it one of the widest coastal redwoods in the world.  

Estimated to be over 1,800 years old, the Grandfather Tree offers visitors a chance to connect with nature’s grandeur. Awesome roadside attraction for giant tree lovers. What can I say other than the tree is massive. Also, there is a decent gift shop next to it that has a lot of neat things to buy to commemorate your visit. They don't have a penny flattening machine though but there are plenty of stickers, magnets and postcards that are good substitutes.
