Valley Health - Fort Gay — Local services in Fort Gay

The dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists all seem good but the administrative side and front desk are absolute nightmares to deal with. I’ve been trying to get a broken tooth crowned since July of 22 (10 months ago) but their ineptitude, lack of follow through and refusal to return phone calls makes in almost impossible to get this done. I now have a temporary crown that I’ve had for a month with no sign of getting the permanent one because they don’t seem to understand how insurance works and even though they have pre-approval they still leave you waiting in the waiting room while they try to contact insurance again. This happens every time I’m there but it is something that should be taken care of before I get there, not just addressed when I’m sitting in waiting room. They obviously have no respect for anyone else’s time. Today, I was scheduled to be there 15 minutes before they were even open. Always been pleased with the staff, facility, and services. Only complaint is past two visits a Valley Health car, parks right in front of the doors to where you can't fully pull up with a loved one and drop them right at the door, and then pull on around. You have to drop them off on an angle, away from the door, back up, pull forward, back up, and pull out on the road to park on the other side. The gentleman who drives this vehicle walks very well, and is parked there several minutes to where you can't wait for him to go in, come out and make your appointment on time, or pick your loved one up. My husband had been on crutches, BOTH days this happened and we were there. It's really inconvenient. It's right up there with parking in a handicap parking spot, when you'd not handicap. I feel the staff person driving this valley health car, should park off in the other staff parking, even if it's a quick visit for him. It's hard on the sick people...

This place is grossly unprofessional and obviously does not put patients first. drove an hour for an appointment for a broken tooth, sat in the waiting room for over an hour because the appointment “didn’t exist” although I made the appointment today, then they inform me they’re struggling to find my insurance (never been a problem anywhere else) let me sit in the waiting for over an hour. I left without being seen, because all they could offer me was to pay out of pocket over $100. Tooth still writhing in pain. Everyone was ready to go home at 5 so it seemed.
