I had high hopes for this place. I like to buy local, but I find myself shopping at Whole Foods and Sprouts Farmers market. I wanted to support a local business, but I regret it. I called prior to arriving at the store to ask if they had yellow onions in stock. The teenage girls that answer told me they did. I arrived to pick up the onions 7 minutes later. The onions that were out were extremely in poor condition (the leftovers). Black mold and soft spots on every one. I ended up buying the onions because I had no other choice. I needed it for a meal that I was going to prepare tonight. I paid way more money for horrible onions. I mentioned it to the girls when I was checking out that I had called and that they had told me I was good to go and that they had the product in store. You really need the employees to be checking the produce and restocking. You never know when a customer is going to drive all the way out to a store to get something. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass this store up in the future for Whole Foods and Sprouts....

What can I say, this is the best strawberry picking place in the Charlotte area. Seriously, look no further. This year, spring season started out pretty cold with lots of rain, so the strawberry season started a little later. Last week we tried to come to pick some they were still closed, and we decided to try a farm in Gastonia. And once again, we come to the conclusion that Springs Farm has the biggest, sweetest, best quality strawberries (see attached pictures) in the area.

To pick strawberries you just show up to the fields that are located across the street from the market. Parking is provided near the field. They take credit cards. After you’ve spent an hour in the field, you’ll probably want to cool yourself down at the market with a slushee or some ice cream that is...

Best tasting ice cream around, good selection of produce and other farm market type items. Follow them on social media to see what ice cream flavors are available.

Younger adults working behind the counter, they are polite and get the job done.

If you’re an adult coming here and berating kids, over ice cream or vegetables, you’re the problem. Yeah, I’m talking about you Karen, complaining to these kids about onions. Fuming main character vibes.

Karen “drove all the way” for onions she didn’t approve of. Rudely expressed her disappointment. She can drive to HT
or Publix
or Food Lion
right down the road.

Mind you, she literally bought the onions she complained about for $3.50 after driving all the way (7 mins), and the onions? They are dirty. Peel those layers off and...

The Strawberry Picking is NOT at the shop, keep driving about a quarter mile down the road into the Anne Springs Close Greenway and you will see the strawberry fields on your right hand! $4.25/lb, this location offers a great price and a wonderful experience! No need to pay to enter. Just park your car, grab a carton, and walk right in; pay by weight on your way out. Nice large field and lots of Strawberries to pick. This is a great family-friendly activity, but be aware that no pets are allowed! I highly recommend visiting the strawberry fields! We had such a great time and only paid about $25 for a very full carton, which yielded about 5 pounds of strawberries! We will be back!!!

A staple in Fort Mill, Springs Farms bring the charm of what was a small town place to pick your own Strawberries 🍓 or have pre-picked. (As a kid growing up in Fort Mill, I always went with my grandparents during the picking season. Maw-maw would have her a Mason jar of fresh brewed sweet tee as her to-go cup. We always picked our own and ending up eating a few as we picked giant baskets full. Fast forward and the small town charm remains with a market to purchase everything from fresh veggies locally grown, candies, pies, pickles items and even get a fresh strawberry slushy. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Worth the drive anytime to enjoy great finds.
