Village Market of Rock Hill — Local services in Fort Mill

My wife has lived on the reservation for 25 years and I have been on it with her for over 7 now so I frequent this store alot. As far as service goes... I guess its as good as any other convenient store. You purchase your merchandise, pay forit and go on your way. Never had any trouble on that note. Have heard rumors for YEARS about the gas having water in it and have actually came to belive it for the simple fact that when I purchase gas from here... Not only does it drain extremely fast, but also my vehicle putters a lot and truly feels as if its struggling to get gas to the engine. I have even thought that perhaps I have came to believe these rumors so much that I might just be THINKING this is happening when it really isnt just because of the things Ive heard so I tried the gas over and over again and SAME result. I am only saying this because I feel necessary to mention it but my MAIN reason for even leaving a review of ANY kind on this establishment is this... The food. I stopped by there this morning (like I do almost EVERY morning on my way to work) and purchased (what was false advertised to be) a chicken "biscuit"... Well when I unwrapped the aluminum foil I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to find a single chicken strip between a small roll. The chicken strip was of the variety that you can purchase at any discount store for like 2 or 3 bucks for about 75-100 strips and the roll was about the size of how a soda can is round (and even that is giving it a bit too much size). So for what I paid, needless to say I was not only disappointed but also a bit angry for being led to believe what I was purchasing was what was being called and advertised as a "BISCUIT". Just as the other reviews have stated... Being the ONLY store on the reservation they take advantage and will get you in every way possible. Dont take my word for it though. PLEASE... Stop by and see...

Good selection, fair prices, good people in my opinion. Catastrophically, the death of the reservation to some degree for some is inevitable with the completion of this firewater addition. But if grown people don’t know how to act or handle their firewater is not the fault of the proprietors . One could be so optimistic for the consideration and safety that responsible Native Americans as well as any others who drink, exercise to and from ,when this uncertain addition matures in the days to come. They always falling you around the store like you about to steal something and I come there all the time and spend my money I never gave them any reason I would never come to this store never again I will spend my money...
